Grambling football searching to replace Bacone College after school announces closure

Infrastructure can include things like support staffing as well. Does football has it's own S&C coach? Does the head coach have to setup recruiting visits and handle logistics? Who manages the program budget? etc...

I am not saying that there isn't room for improvement. What I am saying is one can see many improvements recently and effort. Many people spend quite a bit of time bashing our schools and very seldom accentuate the positives. Those are normally the folks that don't contribute any resources.

At the end of the day giving money only goes so far, I’ve been giving money for years and we got Spady and lost, got rid of jones. If we as a whole brand our programs for the history and pride that they have we will be fine but when we don’t we will never be able to compete. Yes we have schools that are investing into Football with new facilities and upgrades that’s how it’s suppose to be now we can recruit at a high level and flip commits from PWO’s. Now all we need is to start playing more national out of conference games.

The SWAC will evolve to totality in betterdom from top to bottom when WE start recruiting and RETAINING these TAGers, like Mr Thomas.

I agree but sometimes it's the kids and their high school coaches who force them to leave a HBCU for a white school. I know an offensive lineman who got a full ride to GSU. Fobbs reshirted him. Well he went to both summer sessions and when he saw that he wasn't going to play this year he transferred to Northwestern in Natchitoches. Well, 3 or 4 offensive lineman got injured and the reshirt would have come off. When he got to Northwestern he sat out a year and as of right now is still not on the the roster. His high school coach told him over the summer that Northwestern was a better program. SMH....of course the kid is black and the high school coach is white.

its amazing the power high school coaches have and how some will listen without even looking into the situation themselves.

Does the kid have his father in his life?

Exactly!!!

Does the kid have his father in his life?

YES!!!! As a matter of fact his father is the reason Haynesville's football team is what it is and has been. His father is the little league and junior high football coach. He coached my son. The father was hurt brother. So much so I saw water building in his eyes. The mother straight went HAM on the boy for transferring and listening to the white coach. The parents are married.

The kid followed the QB of Haynesville who now plays cornerback at Northwestern. What's funny is last season Martez Carter ran over the kid and the kid never saw anymore playing time in that game. LOL

Kid has multiple HBCU offers according to his own words. I think his daddy went to LSU and he's going to LSU.

He's god awfully gifted. W/ the backing of his father and his legacy @ lsu, it will be VERY difficult to convince him of attending a much greater HBCU.

His dad played for Jackson St. . He goes to SU Lab.
I knew it. :D I thought he was a mini-Lab'er. ::read::

Wasn't aware that his father played @ JSU. j4l, I'mmo need for you to present more credible 411. JagTilHeDead tried to hide Mr Thomas from us but we've been on him, behind the scenes, since summer 2016. ::read::

I'm sorry but I'm LMMFAO!!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D Get him Mr Carter!!!!!! :D lmao!

B-Weezy it was funny as hell. The kid was posting on social media how they were going to shut Martez down....my video taped Martez running over the kid and posted on facebook and tagged him. The dude sent my son public comments under the post and my son did one response that shut him down:

"One hit wonder."

LMAO!!!!!

Northwestern State is awful in Football is a kid go to a school like that he don’t wanna win. If you look at it an think about the amount of kids leave HBCU’s yearly that’s part of the reason why the APR’s are bad. No one will admit that but it’s the truth, you can have all the facilities in the world but if you’re on a post season ban or don’t have the full allotment of scholarships because situations like that.

Sad part is the kid had a 4.00 during both summer sessions and graduated with 3.7 and a 27 on the ACT. Grambling was perfect because it was 30 minutes from his folks house.

What is their record against the SWAC though? I already know but this is why they pick those schools instead.
