That's my point. A woman should not coach a man but it's ok for a man to coach a woman.

There is a similar situation at GSU...there are men hating on GSU making the decision to make a woman the Interim Head of the Music Department.

I don't believe women should be in the percussion section either.
 
You really can’t compare women being music instructors to a woman pursuing an opportunity to be the head coach of an NBA team simply because sports has historically been used to promote the virtues of masculinity. And a women not only being in that space, but trying to ascend to leadership positions, compromises those ideals.

However, sports also has historically been discriminatory when it comes to race and culture in all aspects, whether it be color barriers involving players, coaches, executive positions and even in ownership.

With that being the case, Becky drawing interest from an NBA team hasn't done much in terms of fundamentally changing anything.

At 35, Brock is CAU’s first female band director and one of five women directing college band programs nationwide. The announcement came early in June, and in Brock’s first year at CAU she’s inherited a program with fewer than a dozen students. She’s launched an aggressive recruiting campaign, complete with scholarships, in hopes of growing the band to at least 65 members by the fall.

Well damn....not HBCU....but all nationwide. That's how many colleges??????
