Do men marry for love or when they're ready?

Another "across the board question" with a "ready made" response to any male response.

I asked my wife to marry me because I realized I was wasting time by driving 80 miles round trip every weekend. Then once I was there we would drive another 80 miles round trip to have fun. Then her son had to stay at his grandma's house because we didn't want to sleep together with him there and not be married.

Plus if you having fun with someone and your family likes them and their family likes you then shit go ahead and do it. Folks waste too much time. Those other women I dated they really didn't have the full connection like my wife. I don't care what people say...when you get married you marry their family.

This is quite possibly the dumbest thing I have ever read on this board. Most brothers would tell you they would have more money saved if they were single.
Ain't that the truth. Every time I look around, my wife wants to spend money on something.

Men marry because most couldn't survive financially, single.

Men do it to have sex raw dogging and not worrying about catching that can't shake it disease.

I am not so sure sex is always a good reason to get married. During a discussion with a couple of my buddies who are divorced, they said that get more sex now that they are single, than they ever did when they were married. LOL!!!

HOW did you get to this conclusion?? I see only men responding...is there another link?

LOL Right. Last night my wife asked me what would I be doing if I were single. I told her I'd be living in a duplex that I own, and renting out the other unit; quitting my day job and running my business full time because of all the time I have to devote to it, and forking a ton of money into the stock market since it took a dive the past few days. Possibly getting in on this Spotify IPO.

So needless to say, I married for love. I had no problem surviving on my own prior to marriage.

Ninja, do you know how much money I would have saved up right now. I probably wouldn't even need the dayjob, I could just live off the business.
For real man. With kids too? MAN! But even if it were just me and my sons I'd have way more money and that's with getting them their games and shoes.

My wife loves to say "Well at least I ain't like some women who have to have those expensive Louis V bags and Red Bottoms!" My response: Doesn't matter if you're spending $1500 on one thing or on 10 things... it's still money I wouldn't have spent!

Brothers I'm not going to lie. I would be kicking it in DC getting old alone. LOL

My wife is a blessing to me. Lord is she a blessing. I may not have as much money in pocket but he makes it up. It's nothing like turning over in the bed feeling a thigh and immediately falling asleep peacefully. Nothing like someone sitting up close next to you listening to you bitch and moan about shit and just listening. Nothing like that phone call "baby what do you feel like eating."

My wife don't ask me because she knows the answer....as she told my momma "if he had not married me he would be a old hoe."

My momma fell out laughing.

I thought only my house hold had those comments. Lol They don't get it. Vacations cost too. My vacation would be sitting on the back porch with a case Beck's light and some crown Royal. Lol

If I got my wife some red bottoms she would take them back for a refund for a gift card to the store. Her ass would come back with a bag full of stuff. LOL

Hell, I'm married and can agree. You have more options when single. Married you only have that one option that is not willing to give it up as often.
