I'm talking brutal honesty.

See the major problem is people can't get over the wrong that was done to them by one or two and in some cases three people. So they become hardened and cold. Which leads to a consistent negative feeling about a gender.

My wife and I did not go through the pastoral counseling that most couples go through. We sat down and talked; and when I mean talked I mean we really got deep. We discussed all types of hurt and pain. We never brought up what made us happy. Now we understand each other and each other's perspectives on things. Most people cannot do this in a relationship for fear of losing that person. That type of conversation can resolve a number of issues.

I don't like male chauvinist and she doesn't like feminist. I tell people all the time...I provide and my wife manages. I don't run my house but I am the spiritual leader of my home. My wife tells people I'm going to stay over here quiet but I have my husbands back. Yet, we both know the buck stops with me. Yet, in her eyes she should carry weight as well. That's because all that hurt I experienced is the past and has absolutely nothing to do with my present. Heck I'm revamping my foundation to focus more on black males over all health rather than just HIV. The reason is, that was part of my past and I have move forward wit a future.

So many men and women are set on those past events that they continue reliving them with different people because of the toxic vibes they are giving out.

This is why I can come on here and bullshit and talk shit between the hours of 8 am and 4:30 pm...because when I get home it's fun time with the wife and son. You don't see me posting after 5 pm or on weekend.

LOL. No need to. The brothers in here seem to be pretty cognizant of what's going on here. Brothers are getting educated by Blacks, educating other Blacks, starting their own businesses, etc. That is a more immediate way to advance. A long term answer to completely overthrowing it? That's like trying to win a 100m race after giving the other runner an 80m head start. Darn near impossible. Anyone who has come close to figuring it out was murdered. From MLK and Malcolm all the way down to Johnnie Cochran (yes, I believe he was murdered and no one can tell me differently).

I have to admire the standard you have set for Black men. There is no “plan”. LOL. They won’t let it happen. We are less than 6% of the population. We don’t have global allies.

However....

Can we stop spreading this lie that we are less than X amount or only X amount of the US population. Ever since I was a kid, back in the 70's we've been 13 percent of the population. It is now 2018, so for the last 40 plus years our race has not grown?
The US census is a lie, we are miscounted, are not counted, or people just don't answer the census.

Now in the case of yours and C_T's post.
C_T, you speak as though the brothers on her are part of the cabal and we are allowing the foolishness in this country to happen. Some of us are doing what we can with each other and the young bucks as well.
LS, You say they won't let it happen. That is part of of the problem, it's not about them letting it happen, it's about forcing it to happen. Specifically behind the scene and systematic, so that one day they wake up and their world has changed.
How do you think white supremacy has reared it's ugly head? They were still around but were driven into the shadows, then two things in my opinion happened that allowed them to pop back up. Social media and the election of President Obama, which gave birth to the Tea Party. So we need to use the same tactics.

I was referring to Black men, not the entire Black population. And 6% is quite generous when you account for the population of men who are dying slowly in prison, on parole/ probation with no voting rights. So 6% might not be accurate, but the numbers are scarce.

Were they really in the shadows? Maybe the redneck, confederate flag waving types- they aren't a threat, btw. But the real shot callers like your Koch Brothers and so forth, they have always been hiding out in plain view, and they haven't went anywhere. The NRA.....some of these Super PAC's and so forth. White supremacists with real power.

But as far as tactics, we can start with starting our own (businesses), supporting our own and educating our own. But we can't even agree on those principles thanks to colorism, self-loathing Black folk, bougie Black folk, Black feminists, "HOTEPs" and so forth. It's an uphill battle, but it's one worth fighting.

I'm pushing y'all to do MORE because they are doing MORE TO YOU. I haven't said y'all are allowing it...but whatever you are doing isn't very visible or widespread. The only widespread message is one of how to not provoke the police versus what are we doing to demand a difference. We don't have time to wait until they will take the time to listen.

I too think we have to force the issue. Its time to actually groom and "field a candidate" like Bighead and his buddies say we need to hold our vote out for. We need to pool resources and educate our own...we all know how and why white supremacy has worked...divide and conquer; crabs in a barrel; snitching on your skinfolk gets better treatment for their family, etc.The saddest part in all of this, is many times when they do get positions of authority...they act just like the colonizers, abusing their skinfolk and acting power hungry.

The reason why I am hard on black "feminists" is because they (as well as other non-white feminists) believe the overall cause of feminism will include everyone when it doesn't. Every time there is a large gathering of women since the first Women's March last year there have been instances in which these non-white feminists have been marginalized.

Women like this have fallen for the okie doke and go after black men rather than the overall cause of equal rights and too many black women end up following former porn stars turned women rights advocates like this
