Southern interested in UAPB hoops coach?


Um Southern, y’all already stacked up in coaching talent and don’t need any more. Valley already trying to take Coach from us. Please look elsewhere and let us hold the few jewels we do have!

“He’s definitely one of the ones that we’d like to talk to as it relates to the opening,” Bank said. “A lot of interviewing will be going on down at the Final Four. We’ll have our first conservation with him there and then take it a step further after that.”

As far as contact between the universities, Southern has been granted permission by UAPB to talk to Ivory. For the Jaguars, the interest in Ivory isn’t just because of what UAPB did this past year, they’re examining what he’s done over his entire career at UAPB.

“We’ve called his university to get permission to speak with him,” Bank said. “He’s one of the guys that we think has had a great run. He hasn’t had fabulous facilities to work with and that the kids are looking for. He’s won with less over the years and that’s simply proven.”
 
This guy is a good coach. One i wish TSU would consider if there is an opening. Not just because of this year but he has done a good job for a long time.
