Bama State men and women tennis teams just won the SWAC regular season championships. That’s 7 championships for 2017/2018. It looks like the Hornets are on their way to win another Commissioner’s cup.

Bama State can be a difficult place to work. Since the late 1990s, two powerful factions have fought over control of the university and many former employees have gotten caught up in the infighting.

Grambling doesn't even compete in all sports so they are never gonna truly challenge ASU. Same goes for TSU. PV didn't win anything last year but still came within 6 points of 2nd place in the commissioner's cup race.
