I’m assuming that this schedule has to be “tentative” considering it’s only 10 games on the schedule and not 11. Also I noticed homecoming in September which is unusual for SU. I read and I’m hearing rumors of SU vs. Famu in Atlanta or Texas College.

Any jags that can confirm this schedule?

The 10 games you see are confirmed. I’m hearing what you’re hearing, along with a possible home game against Savannah State being the 11the game.

I don't think there will be a 11th game. May be attributed to only being able to schedule 10 like some other conference foes had to do in the past with non recent NCAA problems and fulfilling that penalty.

Is it a classic going on in Mobile for the game against us or something?

I know Mobile is a hotbed for AAMU alumni but why would we move the SU home game from Huntsville to there? Lol i guess our AD said f it...Hicks is gonna get some heat for doing this.

is this the 5th quarter classic?

I heard about this a couple months ago. It’s a classic, but I’m not sure which one.

This is not surprising. We have wanted to to give our fans all over the state a chance to see us play in person. We will take SU to a new venue for that next beating.

Well at least this confirmed schedule eliminates the confusion as far as when we play Alcorn (misprinted schedule circulating on the Net got us playing Alcorn on Sept. 29 when it should be Alabama State with Alcorn coming to Valley on September 22)

Maybe it's the 5th Qtr Classic that jsu and Tuskegee played in last year in Mobile.

Why do you think we are taking you there? Certainly not to feed you ice-cream and ore cookies.

The 5th Quarter Classic wanted a Name Brand Program and chose Southern. Basically they took AAMU home game so they had to compromise and take you all along for the ride....LOL ("You ain't know?")
