I know a number of things have been posted in the PV thread but you deserve your thread.

Also, let's keep this about UAPB coaching and leave all the side BS out....

Good luck with that. When you know nothing will happen to you, I would troll away and hijack threads as well.

As part as PB is concerned, their record didn't indicate how tough they played in a lot of games last year. If they can get the right coach in there, they could be a solid team that could cause some problems

Ohhhh if you get a DC as your new leader things could get interesting [/U][/B]in the SWAC defense still wins championships

Coach Coleman was our Defensive Coordinator under Maurice "Mo" Forte before he was our Head Coach. You see how that turned out for us.

HOWEVER, when Coach Coleman was our DC, we were within the top 5 defenses in the SWAC, which is why I don't understand why/how our defense got so terrible under his HC leadership.

Some coordinators are not good head coaches.

This is true, but Coach Coleman also served as our DC while he was HC. He strongest coaching capabilities/skills were/are in defense. In my opinion there was no excuse for our defense to play as they have these past 3-5 years under his leadership.

but if the offense goes 3 and out a lot you can't really tell how good your defense is, that happened to PV in some games

These past 5 years (especially within the last 3), our defense was on the field more than our offense, so yes, we were (and just about always) 3&out, and thank God our defense did keep us in the few games we won (and those close games). But they gave up a lot of yards, missed a lot of tackles, and had some downright God-awful tackling! I've seen better tackling in little league and high school.

it’s called “recruiting” chasing after the same guys as the swac elites- I think they can get prospects from other cities in the north / Midwest too

TBH, he should have been your #2 choice behind the HC from Henderson.
Probably because they would not pay him his asking price. UAPB situation is akind to Arkansas in the SEC. What few good players they have leave the state and they attempt to compete with recruiting with other schools outside the state.

Our Administration does not give two-cents about the athletic program if they did we would have fired this sorry axx AD a long time ago. We continue to allow him to sink our program lower than the lowest parts of the SWAC. We used to be in the middle of the SWAC West but the last 10 years we have had 2 winning seasons and they can't seem to get their heads out of their *&&#$. But nevertheless we're supposed to support something financially that they don't give a rat's axx about. Wakeup UAPB Administration!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If it’s Cedric Thomas he should do well there and he should clean house nothing was good there for the last couple years neither offense or defense. Having assistants that can recruit the south and Midwest will be huge pine bluff is a gold mine although it will take a lot to beat Grambling and Southern for the west they can compete and possibly steal one or two
