I agree! Especially to see what happens with us at SU with Coach Odums. He is in his last year of his contract and NCCU only made their coach interim to see if he can handle being head coach. So it could very well be an opening at SU. I doubt it. But it could be. Also JSU Hughes better make improvements on the field or he is gone. So that job may be open as well. Not that Dooley would be a candidate but he damn shole should be if he is available.

UAPB job if they aint going to give him everything he needs to win, could set him up for failure.

if you have have got Maxfield, your search should have ended. No need to interview the others.

Where we go wrong at HBCUs is that we don't go after who we want. You all were just too slow with the offer.

I personally wouldnt want Dooley in Jackson. As a JSU alum, I hope Hughes does well, but if not, we have our coach and OC and DC... lol To be honest, I don't know what we waiting on. We should have just let him go. JSU has not had a coaching search since before you and I were born!

UAPB should’ve made him an offer since he’s won with less before.

Worm is under contract through the 2019 season.

So Big Worm is in his last contract year....didn't know this....the NCCU gig was on an interim basis....isn't Big Worm from up there?

That's his Alma Mater. He has 2018 and 2019 seasons left apparently. But his buyout obviously is smaller with one year left vs 2 left.

I am Worm fan. So I hope we extend him again. We just did last year. But I am thinking NCCU is waiting in the weeds if they didn't give that guy the full coaching gig and just interim for 2018. It allows them to not be stuck if its a mistake.

Nothing like home....ask Broadway and Fobbs.

All worm would have to do is win like he did at Southern and life is gravy. I think some coaches get TOO comfortable and some get cocky and end up fired and unable to gain anymore employment as a head coach (Melvin Spears)

Its a mistake to give a man who deserved the job one year. It might even hurt recruiting this year.
