Breh, if SU would have won that game, ppl would have said the only reason why we won is because dude got hurt and if he wouldn't have gotten hurt GSU would have won.

Has nothing to do with Fobbs coaching or Odums coaching, as I said 2 vs 1 wins most if not all the time

Stop it.
If Carter had to make a great play to get the TD then you would have a point but the hole was so open that the punter could have ran that in. You guys would have lost either way.

Exactly!! We have no spring or full allotment of scholarships and we beating 98.9% of the teams in conference. Coach Odums is doing a good job.

That's why I'm wondering why Bighead is being hard on SU. Shit SU came in behind everyone else and was damn near in the SWAC championship.....

Breh, why wasn't that hole big enough when Carter was out of the game??

U do know yall didn't even get a 1st down nor cross the 50 on offense.

Defenses and attitudes change when impact players go out of the game breh.

Details of the game matter, you are just looking at the end results and not the whole thing. This here is a science to this game, a game within the game breh.

Let me ask you this then, When Carter went out of the game, how many holes could the Punter run through then? I'll wait

Why your offense looked below average/trash when he went out? Where was the coaching aspect of the game then? When that dude went out of the game, PV, Alcorn at that moment and including SU was a better team than you dudes, thus us taking the lead.

I'm being hard on our coaches is because regardless of having less scholarships, there's still not a reason to not know how to punt in your first 2-3 games, there's no reason to not know how to play press coverage, there's still no reason to not blitz different personal. There's still no reason for the best defensive player on your team, Danny Johnson to only have his name called one time in a game that will decide if you go to Houston or not.

Regardless of us not having these so call players, you still as a coach have to teach these kids/players better mechanics, WRs running bad routes, making wide turns in their cuts, route running. Jerry Rice, T.O. others were slow ass hell as WRs but they knew how to run a dayum route to get open. We got kids running 3 yard routes on 3rd and 8, like huh? that's coaching, why run a 3-5 yard route when you need 9-10 yards for a 1st.

But to get back on the your Jerry rice c**n ass and T.Os and other slow Wrs their coaches taught them things and showed them how to get open. Everybody doesn't need to run a 4.4. (aint nobody running that in the SWAC anyway) and when I see poor mechanics, DBs with bad mechanics, then I get upset and be like dayum, do they even try to teach these kids, and again, I'm an average ass fan.

I watched our SS pick up yall slot WR in the Bayou Classic that sht was pure embarrassing on how he covered yall WR on that play, pure embarrassing

Even if we get a 3,4, or 5 star player, they won't do anything damaging in this league, hell we can't even teach the 1 and 2 star kids proper mechanics.

A 3,4, star kid want to play press coverage man 2 man and get physical at the LOS, umm I mean, we play 10 yards off WRs in 80% of our coverage and it aint working, like um what are we doing?

That's why I go hard on us, cuz we can do and be better and it's so easy to be

Carter didn’t have a great game running the ball. It was plenty of plays he was stopped for minimal gains if he got any. If you take away 2 or 3 runs then he didn’t have a very good rushing game. You keep bringing up the stuff that happened when he went out of the game like he was gone for 3 quarters. We have bad drives with him in the game so why is it so bad that we had a FEW without him. Point is is that we have been doing this week in and out for YEARS and every time it’s an excuse. If we inconsistently won then I would agree with you but when a team wins like we have for as long as we have you have to give props and stop saying could have, should have or world have.

GSU people don't work off the "if" factor.... We work off the "what is"....what GSU folks would have said was, "Martez got hurt and our backup should have stepped up more, our offensive coordinator should have called plays to compensate for Carter not being in the game, our OL should have protected the line more, and I defense should have stepped up since our start running back was hurt."

In short we would not be on here bychan about SU be lackluster...but hey you do what's best for you.

back to.....

lol

just so I get this right... Fobbs can't coach yet they haven't lost a SWAC game since when???? No team is going to be perfect every Saturday, but clearly they are kicking ass, and I don't even like Grambling (LOL).

Lol

I never said GSU ppl, I said "ppl" yall can say what yall wanna say, but others would have said SU won because dude went down etc etc.

I just said yall are over-rated and broke it all down for yall in a way a 5th grader can grasp.

I can put it where the "goats" can get it.

jealous of what breh Lol. You reaching breh.

He's had as I say 2 better players vs the 1 players that everybody else has on their team.

A coaching mind-set? Breh stop. I would ask you to break-down that what you mean by that, so that a 5th grader could understand what you mean by that, but I won't

LOL if everyone broke down a lost like you then it would never be a winner. Just a whole bunch of my team should have won because we had the lead for 2 minutes and stuf , lol

Smh

Another one that doesn't understands coaching, it's levels to coaching. Just because you get W's doesn't mean you're a good coach, I broke it all down.

If you have all the best players on your team, than yea, you're going to win off the talent, In this conference, whoever has the most impact players on their team wins. Has nothing to do with coaching and I've given several examples on to why it doesn't. Coaching in this league can cost you to lose games, not win games. Your talent wins games in this league

Carter goes out of the game, and SU wins, but our coaching caused us to lose, Example, we kicked the ball short? Why? noone knows. again Coaching, kick the ball in the dayum endzone and make them go 60 yards (which I don't think they would have done) SU wins. Play the right defensive coverage press coverage and be physical with the WR on 3rd and down and 10 and we win the game, again coaching loses the game for us.

So you don't think Kirby Smarts broke down that Auburn lost? Hell the commentator broke it down for you in the SEC rematch game saying that they left 17 potential points on the field (which is true) so Kirby didn't state that with his team Lol.

Nick Saban in press conferences, radio shows, after games, in interviews hasn't broken down a lost? Nick doesn't do that huh LMAO ,but I'm hater cuz I'm doing it?

So you still haven’t told me why was Fobbs so successful his first year when he inhertited the 1 win team and no true recruiting class.

I'd put it this way so yall can understand what I'm saying and see how pissy and trash this coaching is in this conference

If the Fobbs dude doesn't get the job, Who else in this conference that's a HC will get a HC job at one of these cacs schools? Lmaoooo I'll wait on it.

Why hasn't anybody else with the exception of the cac from Alcorn gotten a HC job opportunity?

Maybe I may be wrong but who was the last coach to come outta the SWAC and take over at HC at a cac school?? Lol

Educate me please, please debunk my talking points

2014 was his 1st year right?

Did he go to the ship game that year? if not how is that a successful year?

I hope you don't think SU was successful in 2014? During Odums tenure 2014 may have been his worse team. inconsistent play was at its finest that year, IMO

You keep saying the conference is weak but what about him beating Coach Mack’s NCC team last year. NCC beat Broadway’s NCAT team with Cohen pretty badly and everyone knows Broadway is a very good coach and Gram beat NCC so how does he do what Broadway couldn’t with a star RB named Cohen. Let me guess more talent and no coaching.

Ok breh

Let's do this.

1. Who was on your team last year, name yall impact players from last year.

2. Would you say NCC team had more impact players than yall?

3. Would you say that NCC team had more impact players than NCAT

4. Did yall beat NCAT last year?

Let's start from there.

It was successful because he turned around a program in turmoil into winners and he beat the SWAC champs and almost made it to the ship after multiple horrible seasons with no known stars at the time. All that in less than a year and restoring the program was very successful to us GSU fans and now you see what has happened in such a short time.
