Huh? I can argue that Grambling' schedule was actually the stronger schedule. Both have played against FBS teams. I think it's safe to say that Tulane is stronger than Charlotte. Both have played D2 programs. Grambling played CAU. A&T played Mars Hill. Both have played non-conference FCS teams. Grambling vs. Northwestern State. A&T played Gardner-Webb.

But A&T didn't struggle with their DII team and also A&T defeated Howard that defeated UNLV. Grambling struggled with CAU and hasn't defeated a notable FCS team.

I got Fobbs.

Also Kincade is a special talent that we haven't really taken the chance to appreciate during his time at Gram. He only went undefeated in the SWAC while at the helm for 2 years. He may not have put up the stats that jump out at you like damn he's killing it. But he was always steady and he never put his team in a bad spot.

And what "notable" FCS team did A&T beat. And what the hell does Howard have to do with this? Howard lost to Hampton. What am I missing?

Oh scratch that, I thought Howard played A&T. The bottom line is NCAT is ranked higher than Grambling for a reason, they are the favorites and if Grambling want to win they're going to have damn near perfect execution on both sides and an impressive game plan/scouting report. I'm rooting for the G-Men but I'm going in expecting them to lose, last year I expected them to win and they did.

According to Massey, A&T is favored by 10.5 and according to Sagarin, A&T is favored by 8 points.

I suspect this will be much closer than that.

OK, that's fine. That's all you had to say. I have no problem in saying that A&T will enter this game as the favorite, but don't just make stuff up. That's all I'm saying.

Both teams have played similar schedules against similar competition. Both teams are currently on 11-game winning streaks. Someone's winning streak is going to end on the Dec. 16.

They beat them when they were 0-0. Dominated them.

Rank mars hill and cau
Really??? Are we really going to be this petty? Grambling beat Northwestern State at a time when BOTH team had lost to FCS school the previous week. Both team were 0-1. WTH is the point? What does any of that have to do with NOW?

I agree that A&T should be favored going into this game. What more do you all want?

Gram dominated its non conference FCS opponent in Northwestern State (out of Southland Conference). G-Men held them to 10 pts while LaTech gave up 24 points during the previous week. Also, more recent perennial power Sam Houston State ranked #5 in the FCS struggled greatly with the same Northwestern St. team Gram dominated. Sam Houston won 40-36.

It is laughable that the G-Men are a 10pt underdog. The Icon of BCF will not disappoint the SWAC.

Since Coach Fobbs took the helm at Grambling, I've noticed how the Tigers play during the 4th quarter of the Bayou Classic. This is only my opinion (and no disrespect), but Grambling isn't a 4th-quarter team in the BC, and it appears (to me) that Fobbs doesn't do well under pressure. They'll have to play a full-4 quarters against NCA&T because they certainly will and Coach Broadway won't stop until the game is over.
Do you remember the Celebration bowl and SCG last year. Fobbs can handle the 4th quarter and pressure.

Never doubt the champs until you beat them. We beat the best they had to offer last year and I don’t see us loosing this year. I’m going with the champs.

No, I didn't watch it last season. My post was based on the Bayou Classics since Coach Fobbs became HC at GSU. And even when Doug Williams was the coach. Perhaps Coach Fobbs can handle pressure, but from what I see, the 4th quarter (for GSU) hasn't gone as smoothly as the first 3.

I truly believe Fobbs does not like embarrassing fellow SWAC coaches. I think he knew he would win the SWAC Championship but was trying to figure out how to do it without showing his full playbook and hand. Last year, he threw the book at SU...thus allowing Alcorn to see more and NCCU saw a whole lot. I think this year he held back. I'm just speculating....
