Their play-calling was trash and defense they played the whole game (base) and our coaches couldn't see this and attack it. As I stated earlier in my statements, both coaches are trash at this game here.

Kincaid had times when he was in the pocket and didn't look impressive at all. WTF are you talking about? What do you mean "like who does that" when talking about streaks? Do your research on the longest streak between SU and GSU.

Props to Pete on beating The Great Eddie Robinson, (who at the end of his prime), and poor second half adjustments Doug Williams. Pete did what he needed to do at SU and brought the program back from the dead in the series. Unlike some (not all) of you SU powder blues folks, we respect him and don't make excuses in the games he won. Y'all fired him, and now Odums and Fobbs are the talk of the city.

Maybe you are right. Maybe we are lucky that Odums is your coach. Maybe we are lucky that Austin Howard has tossed 4 game changing INT's in the past 3 classics to help us in this current streak.


We won. The better team is going to Houston to take on the that has already beaten you, and wants revenge on us. GSU is focused on fighting with the Braves once again. We are better that SU and have been for the past 3 years. Maybe next SU takes it. If they do, we will show class in loss and root for the Jaguars in the post season instead of hating on players and playing the woulda-coulda-shoulda song like you and a slim group of power blues are singing. Stop hating on us and show some class! I know it's hard for many SU folks because that ghetto leave is present, but at least try harder.


I guess you are rooting for Alcorn to beat us now. If we win, I guess you will root for A&T in the Celebration Bowl. Oh well, life goes on and so does the G.

Thanks......"To The Victor Go The Spoils." No excuses or problems here and was glad to go home and fellowship with all of the Gramblingnites & Southernites. We talked smack the entire weekend but all of us feels like it's all in the family. I have two nieces that finished from Southern and my little nephew is headed to Grambling this fall.

That is the Grambling way. We win and lose with the greatest humility. Regarding Pete, I am shocked that there is not some type of visible memorial or tribute for Pete on the Bluff. Now only did Pete resuscitate the SU program from being a fossil and literal afterthought (let’s not forget SU had not won a SWAC championship since the end of the Vietnam war to the first Gulf War), Pete brought the SU program instant credibility by wisely dominating the BC with Coach Rob at the end of his legendary career.

I think Pete won like 30% of SU's SWAC titles.

Who has the longest streak between GSU and SU, SU is sitting at 8 under Pete (that's just with Pete) Who else has 8 wins in a row?? GSU? (edit) GSU has 9,, I guess they are counting that 1-0 game in BR that yall won. Dude miss me with that Eddie Robinson was in his last days as if Pete didn't beat any good Eddie Robinson's good GSU teams? Was in old by age, yes, but did he have good teams outta those Wins Pete got off him?? I'll let you answer that, you know GSU more so than me to know if they were competitive or not. Doesn't SU lead the series or nah?

Congrats Gram... The better team won. Us Jags will always bleed Blue & Gold, but we have things to work on. I, for one, am not the Biggest fan of our Coaching staff. However, I will Always Loyal Be...... Gotta SUpport the home team.

Your football IQ is questionable if you thank SU gave the game away. The G-Men allowed you to hang around. Y'all are lucky to be dealing with two score loss. You should be thankful the score was closer than last year because you could have be blown away by halftime.

Nobody said that all of the Coach Rob's teams that Pete beat weren't good. In fact, he beat 2 good GSU teams and received props for that. But to act like he beat up on a prime Eddie Robinson is just stupid and ignorant. There are a handful of you SU folks who act as if this happened. In fact, there is an ignorant bunch who act as if his name is ranked in front of Eddie Robinson. Yes! It's insane. Pete is a great coach who brought SU back from the dead and put on spectacular 8 Bayou Classic win streak to help regain a series lead. I was a big fan of the man's style and recruiting abilities. All of this history is fine, but unlike you, G-Men take the W's and L's and move on to the next challenge. You are still crying over getting beat by the better team, better staff and better quarterback. Odums wasn't better than Fobbs this year, SU wasn't good enough to have a 10-1 record, and your QB wasn't good enough to throw 0 INTS/pass or run for enough TD's to win the game.

Next year, we are going to put pure heat on Fobbs, Dooley and Todd to beat y'all again and continue to reach deep in our GSU blood to take back what is ours. It's time to take SU fans back to "life before Pete brought us back" in the Bayou Classic. You said that a Pete coached team would have won last Saturday, and it's hard for me to say you are wrong. But hey, y'all fired him and now you have to live with it.

GSU won. SU didn't give the game away, they lost it after a good kick return, a strike from Kincaid and a TD run from Mr. Excitement. SU's under 2 minutes of having the lead was ended by a better team. Take it on the chin and man up.
