I agree with that. Their defense is legit, but without Dalvin Cook, Francois is a sitting duck behind their horrible OL.

I totally agree. Why does any team deserve a ranking in a pre season poll? Hell, none of those teams had played a damn game. Pre season polls? A total waste of time.

That got that ranking because they didn't want Bama to play a lower seed. FSU was already on schedule to play Bama, so they had to give them a high ranking.

It's not about a beatdown. Bama is sorry. They had to play a high ranking FSU so when it shows that they were going to struggle, everyone will say that, "Well FSU was ranked #3". If Bama struggles against a #10 ranked FSU, it would be hard to justify Bama keeping their #1 ranking.

Florida State couldn't do anything consistently against their defense. They got a few yards here and there, but got shut down big time, especially in the 2nd half. Bama missed 2 FGs, and held FSU to 40 total yards rushing. They made FSU 1-dimensional, and that is deadly against that defense. Special teams mistakes are a part of the game.
