Jackson State vs TCU: Game Updates - 7:00pm CT

Games like this tells you absolutely nothing about your team. TCU team speed alone was phenomenal. Physically gifted they were. Pope and Jordan Johnson both will have a good year. We won't know who we are until we face Tennessee State

Mr Pope really concerns me. Seems like he has the capability to dominate the LOS on D. He was going beyond toe-to-toe w/ their OLinemen. I focused on him solely for a few plays and he was tossing the center around like a ragdoll, until one of those big guards would then immediately engage and THEN he'd have to toss him too while trying to locate the ball and make a play quickly. Impressive.

I wouldn't call the O Line horrible, they will continue to gel and get better. Few times during the game, they held their own.

Alrighty @ "a few times." How many yards of offense did JSU have in the first half vs the 2nd half? 65 total yards in four full quarters of play where how many came off that initial drive?

C'mon man. Take the blue/white glasses off. I think before the red is put back in the blue/white glasses, there needs to be an uptick in athletic talent like the JSU of the 1980s fronted.

JSU's oline is horrible: fcs big, fcs fat, fcs slow.

The oline looks much improved from last year. They opened up holes but TCUs speed closed them in a hurry. I'm glad Hughes was smart enough this year to continue running the ball to shorten the game. Defense gave up 49 points to what looks like a good TCU team that's known for putting up way more against tougher competition

It's good to know they are much improved but did you notice the physical difference between JSU's oline and tcu's oline?

Honestly, I don't care about all that. What catches my eye is:

1. We're STILL having trouble getting the plays in on time.

2. Germ playcalling is atrocious.

3. Lyles STILL can't hit an open WR.
