I went back and watched last year's game up until Christophe went out... sTu is young on defense this season.. Sept 2 is going to get ugly. Remember 2015.

Yeah, we had a pretender lame duck I'm not going to build a program for another coach (his words) coaching.

I see you haven't been paying attention, Christophe is going to give everybody that work in 2017 and sTu will win the SWAC.

My bad. I'll know my place next time.

PV ain't shit. PV ain't got shit. It's 0-80 PV. It's PV w/ the jr hs football stadium. It's PV w/ the sorry assed coaches. It's PV w/ the 27 piece band. It's PV w/ the dozen supporters.

lol pvdt, we prayed a long time and ours was answered. We are getting decently landlocked. New arch manufacturing facility... spoilllllllled. smh

No! It shouldn't.... But it probably will be. I look forward to see how this team comes out after having a full off season and spring under Coach Haywood and staff.

I mean yeah it shouldn't...we're at home(Rarely open the season at home) with a solid offense in Coach Wood's third season and his recruits fully integrated in the system...the advantage should be on the side of the Rattlers...however, both teams are coming off 4-7 seasons. You never know what to expect in the first game of the season.

Yeah, your Coach Wood (5-17) is very inexperience, and only had 4 games as an interim H.C. before he arrived at Fa&m. He, his methods, and his staff are inexperience and unproven. Yes both teams are coming off of a 4-7 season but TSU was under sanctions, and lost the QB in game 1. Also, TSU was competitive in and lead every game SWAC game at some point last year. 4 of TSU's losses were by 4 points or less.

Fa&m was raked by every descent team in the MEAC last year your only wins and only competitive games came vs. 0-8 Delaware St., 2-6 Howard, 3-5 Morgan St....
The MEAC has 2-3 pretty good teams at the top, everything else is questionable. The SWAC has a log jam of good teams mostly in the WEST, but I would say their are 6 different teams in the SWAC that have a chance to win the conference where as the MEAC is damn near already decided. N.C. Central , N.C. a&T, and everybody else.

I will say you won 3-4 games at home last year but they were against the worst teams in the MEAC. Because of that I am happy this game will be nationally televised and kick off game of NCAA football 2017. NCAA will be watching the refs better not.....

We were under the same sanctions as TxSU...we just had our first spring practice in two or three years.

Also, FAMU played some very close games as well...once Ryan Stanley, just named starting qb, took over, we all of a sudden saw a jump in offensive production. We played much better football down the stretch last year and I think we can improve on that...there's a cautious optimism this year in Tallahassee, but fans are still confident in this group of Rattlers.

I feel you, that's a good thing but that success down the stretch came vs. 0-8 Delaware St., 2-6 Howard, 3-5 Morgan St. This TSU team is not going to be Word Beaters just yet but should be much improved over last year. If TSU looses this game Haywood going to get the side eye from me. He should out coach, Coach Wood. It's time for Coach Haywood to earn that fat pay check he demanded from TSU. I know this is not the popular position with may of the TSU faithful but hey I'm cool with that. Coach Haywood better not keep loosing by 3-4 points, and or loosing the 2nd half. TSU needs to finish with more games in the W than the L THIS season. Starting with Fa&m.

FYI:
Any of you in the DFW area the Dallas TSU and F a&m alumni associations are hosting a watch party for the TSU vs. fa&m game @ the Owner's Box Sports Bar and Grill in the Omni hotel @ 555 S. Lamar.

Walter Highsmith and Bryan Brewer will participate in the coin toss. FAMU never forgets.

Bryan Brewer got knee hurt playing his first game for TSU. He would have been on the opposite end with M. Stahan. I heard he was a terror. What a lost. Did we steal him for FAMU. Is this the back story? I did not know that.

We had our share of Florida players for a long time.....Kenny '00' Burrough, Harold Hart, Ronald 'Smokie' Merthie, Lloyd Mumphord to name a few.

I cringe when I hear people say recruit Texas only when in reality some of the better athletes at the swac Texas schools came from out of state.

Highsmith could bring talent in. And they looked the part that was the crazy part about it. His teams always started strong but fizzled after that first month but he was character.
