SWAC Commissioners Cup





Maybe we should not mention MVSU when talking about universities moving down. Maybe we should be talking about AAMU moving down. AAMU is not competing. I am hoping i see some improvement in the football department with the effort I see there now. The bulldogs have more to work with than Valley and Alcorn. They are in a moderate size growing city with an adequate campus and long history. What is the problem why the AD is not progressing the department?

Our AD obviously must have pictures on somebody. They gave him a contract extension.
 
We're also in a town 70% white and the 20% of blacks here have no connection to this town for the most part. They're transplants and don't support anything black.

How many A&M grads and their families live within 20 minutes of campus?

I've been trying to find out how many points are assessed in each sport. Anyone know where that information can be found?

Come on now you know if it's not Bama nor Auburn folks in this state don't care. Then when we throw in the fact that we don't make folks feel welcome on the Hill even our own alumni we have a problem.

Thats been that way for decades. But we have never been in this bad of shape.

I guess the folks that have influence quit caring about sports. Maybe we should cut football like UAB did to see if folks really do care.

I didnt understand this until I started going to ASU. I would see more folks wearing Bama or AU gear more than our own school smh.
They have yall brainwashed in Bama.

It was a perfect storm. Alabama/Auburn rivalry got too big after integration, and neither ASU or AAMU really tried to build dominant enough football programs.

At A&M, it seems to me that the current administration never wanted athletics "in the way" (hence replacing consistent above average coaches with PROVEN losers and clueless 1st time coaches).

Anyhow, congratulations ASU. Well earned Commish Cup

Not me bruh. I just live here. ATL will always be my home town. Lol when I retire I'm headed straight up I-20. Lol

Many outsiders do not understand the athletic culture of the state. There are very few sport fans in the state, only Auburn and Alabama fans. This culture does not only extend to the HBCUs but also to the other PWIs.

I work with a UT-Martin alumnus. Grew up an Auburn fan. Auburn season ticket holder. Doesn't attend UTM sporting events, not even homecoming
