There is no way to justify allowing someone to pay you to beat your ass. Games vs evenly matched teams regardless of division should be the goal. If A&T wants to play WSSU, fine. Alabama State vs Skeegee is fine. Jacksonville State vs Troy.. fine. Southern vs UL-Monroe.. fine but why would SU want to play LSU or UT?

As for GSU, we all know they, along with SU, FAMU, and BAMA State, are one of the worst run HBCUs in the country. So this turn of events is expected.
Don't be so mean TP. LOL!!

I guess JSU is a fine tune machine that is wallowing in money.

THIS IS STUPID, GRAMBLING COULDVE DONE A HOME AND HOME WITH FAMU OR TENNESSEE STATE !

I don't get how everyone think that they can play FAMU or TnSt with a home and home. The only school that seems to have got this scheduled is txsu.

Nothing is more scary than #45 with his stupid hand on the red button

Donald Trump has red button that summons butler to bring him Coke

Not even a year removed....SMH

Jackson State University president Carolyn Meyers announced her resignation Tuesday afternoon after denying rumors about her departure last week.

Her resignation comes on the heels of the discovery that JSU’s cash reserves have plummeted 89 percent in the last five years, landing at $4.2 million for the 2016 fiscal year that ended in the fall.

But there has been criticism about Meyers, including complaints about the large number of people who have resigned or been fired during her administration. Numerous lawsuits have been filed against the school during her tenure, particularly against her friend and former Athletic Director Vivian Fuller.

"The cash balance getting as low as it did put the (College Board) in a precarious position," Horhn said. "They like for them to have 90 days of cash reserves to cover payroll, and Jackson State had gotten down to about seven days ...

Please add JSU to that list.

Now you know JSU can do no wrong!
They are too good for the SWAC and the SEC will be calling them any day now!

It's interesting that JSU can speak negatively of other schools but not even a year ago they were making headlines for not enough funds for 7 days.

Meanwhile....where is the domed stadium?

It's called propaganda to make one look good. I was watching the movie 'Isoroku Yamamoto', which is a Japanese movie about Japan Naval Admiral Yamamoto during WWII. In the movie, it showed where the country's main newspaper in Tokyo kept writing stories on how the Japanese military was victorious over the United States even after their embarrassing defeat at Midway. Like countries during war, we have a few HBCUs that bend the truth in order to save face. And what's really bad, they go years under the disguise that everything is just fine and dandy.

Everyone speaks negatively on everyone. Yall just so happen to get butt hurt when anyone from JSU says anything about yalls school as if yall don't sit and bring up JSU in other threads or make millions of threads on us all the time. Sad lol.

Man cry me a river....yall JSU folks twist stuff on every thread. LOL

I love it how folks like to put down others, but cry like little wussies when others put them down.

7 days.

7 months later, we're still here. Hmmm.

We know that...the point is you guys bitch and moan but don't realize that you bring a lot of this on yourselves. A thread could be started about Mickey playing softball against Spider Man...by the middle of the second page the subject is about Jackson State versus everybody. LOL....

The Advocate prevents one school from bending the truth. We won't name no names.:snicker:
Cement anyone??

I don't recall any Jacksonians making this thread about JSU BUT okay.

Count the number of threads YOU alone make about JSU even when no one from JSU is talking about Grambling. Any how, we continue to rise no matter what's thrown at us cause "we ARE THEE Mighty JSU".

But, but JAG89 said that we're on the verge of going bankrupt. See, that's what it means to bend the truth.

Po thang!!! HIM still doesn't understand what is meant by 7-days of cash reserves. Maybe one day that JSU education will kick in. LMAO!!!

The Advocate and the Clarion-Ledger do similar works.

Also, you do realize that the IHL Board has started the process of eliminating wasteful programs at JSU, which was printed in the C-L a few days ago. That should help the school's upside down finances.
Fight over College of Business leadership brews at JSU

Maysami said the economics program has been identified as low productivity by the Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning for several years, and the options given to the university are to delete or suspend it.
