Spin-off Discussion: Should men wear earrings?

The Bobby Bowden comments made me think..
Personally, I grew up in a household where males were not allowed to earrings. My father always told me that piercings were for womenfolks. None of my boys in hs wore earrings either.

When I got to college, a lot of cats had their ears pierced. I thought nothing of it. Really, I still don't have a problem with it but just curious of other cats thoughts.

Im not a fan of them and I won't let my son wear earrings in my house.

Men have been wearing ear rings for centuries. I have my ears pierced though I rarely wear the black diamonds my mom purchased for me. I think there is a time and place for it. I don't wear them to work. It's usually when I'm out with my lady.

I too grew up in a no earrings for dudes household. But I've dated one or 2 with them and all the kids in my household have both of there's pierced...they had to wait until they were 18 and out of my house to get them, but they enjoy them. So, I feel that your life, your decisions. I don't find it offensive....................I'm sure the dudes who have them and have allowed the red head big booty hood chicks to nibble on that earring just got a flashback! LOL

I wore an earring in college. My folks had no problem with it. Ironically the only fashion statement they had a problem with was me wearing my baseball hats backwards.

These discussions about examining guys wearing earrings or skinny jeans (or whatever Cam Newton is wearing on a weekly basis) has a masculinity so fragile component to it.

Lets not put skinny jeans and earrings on the same level now lol. My son walk in and some skinny jeans, he catching a belt.

That's too harsh...just ask him to get out of them while around and you and just KNOW, he's wearing them outside your presence.

I have no problem with men wearing ear rings. I mean let's be real those frat boys in that video with their azz out didn't have on ear rings and some think they were Kool. Lol Just saying... For the record I don't have my ear pierced either. Not my style. Lol

I grew up in the no ear rings household. Really after growing up never saw the reason for one. I have never knocked them but guess it the way I was raised that rubbed off on me. Neither of my boys wear them either.

Low blow cee... Low blow.. that video was a bad look though.

I grew up in a household in which they were prohibited, but I have both ears pierced. When I go back home to visit my parents/family, I take them out.

Let's no put them on the same level even though you've been asking for years whether dudes should wear skinny jeans? Lol

I aint ask on Skinny jeans Kendrick. I aint ever supported the skinny jeans thing. I do get my some slim brothers prefer the straight leg style.

I have almost accepted that skinny jeans are here to stay for good though. However, I don't get the point of buying skinny jeans and then sagging them.

Remember back in the day brothers could not get thier proper size because all the skinny dudes wanted that baggy fit. Now stores don't even carry normal sizes because of this skinny jeans mess.

I don't get the sagging the skinny jeans either. It's like sagging while wearing a belt.

But I have a couple of pairs of skinny chinos that I wear. Can't do skinny jeans, though

You can walk into most department stores and find jeans for whatever size or style you wear.

Cat in walmart had a pair of sagging skinny jeans on two days ago. The female he was with asked him to reach up and get some baby milk powder off the top shelf. Buddy had to hold his pants up while reaching up and dang near fell.
