All I'm going to say, no matter where we live, we do not live in a bubble. Someone is going to have to step up to the plate so that all children are giving the proper tools to become productive people in this world. This world is definitely heading into the me, my, and I society. What the kids in the 'inner city' are doing now will soon gravitate its way to kids in suburban and rural communities.

Someone posted this on Facebook. And we expect kids to do better. These are some of the same people who want well paying jobs. The answer is 15. Somehow they see that multiplication sign as an addition sign in the last equation. The brother below who said the answer is 16 has the nerve to have a bow tie on in his profile picture. He also says in his profile that he attended Baylor University and has the Alpha's shield with a gorilla standing in the front of it as one of his pictures. I wonder who has he hoodwinked into hiring him to think illogical. We can look and sound good, but when it comes to basic logic, we somehow fall short in that category.

Hold on. wouldnt the answer be 25 based on the order of calculations. You would multiply before adding. 5+2×10

Charter schools CHERRY PICK the kids that they want and have a different set of rules and can MAKE parents be active in schools or pay a fee to be exempt. Also they can exclude SPECIAL EDUCATION kids and yes whites know this. Because many have tried charter schools and found out that lesser known fact. Which is why so many of them are in black communities and kept out of white ones. Also all the money they make go to everyone EXCFEPT the Ignore
Also the curriculum taught in school-is VOTED UPON. 4-5 years and everyone is given a chance to look those books over before the state votes on them. Same thing with the student code of conduct. We get screwed because we don't take an active role in stuff being decided for us. Also a lot of white schools get stuff because they have folks in the community who know to WRITE grants for government money to get funding for projects and extra teacher pay.
We are too busy caring about the next football or basketball game instead of the education of our kids. We WANT more black (male) teachers but look at how WE treat the ones who are already there. I have seen black women and especially problacks go HAM on black teachers-doing their jobs, saying good morning to kids, saying I believe in you or not letting the kids get away with bad behavior. I know teachers who have their sexuality questioned by folks just for not sagging their pants at work.
What BIghead wanted to teach in classes has been tried for years. Guess who continues to have an issue with it-not whites but BLACKS. The very folks you trying to help. See not everybody wants to be "free".
How do you expect a kid to follow the rules when the community encourages him to NOT? We have rules and too many times black mom shows up and says your rules don't apply to my kid-I he wants to cuss you out-he can. And that is how you get more white kids out of college from teach America in black schools for 3 years and they leave. Some leave understanding the issues and other go work for Fox News.
As for MONEY-public schools get paid by the state for BODIES in the seats. Not how much they learn. Many black schools get more money than white ones. Yet who gets better results? Start looking at those school budgets-which is public information that you can get online or request.

You have the right rule (multiply and divide first and then add and subtract), but you counted 2 glasses of beer instead of 1 like it is in the picture. Look at the picture again and notice there's only one glass of beer in the last equation, whereas there's 2 glasses of beer shown twice in the third equation.

Bill Cosby pretty much said the same things, but look at where he is at now compared to a White man, such as Donald Trump who also has been accused of sexual assault.
My high school had a pretty good high school football coach at one time. They got rid of him for disciplining the team on one of those off season pass and catch tournaments. The team was on the school bus and coach was following the bus in his car Supposedly, some of the players started throwing objects at passing cars. He had the bus driver pull the bus to the shoulder of the road and made every player get off the bus. One kid refused to get off because he claimed he wasn't involved in throwing stuff at cars. The coach still made him get off the bus. The next day, the kid's parent showed up in the principal's office with a complaint. The coach was terminated after the White female principal made decision that the coach shouldn't have discipline the kids. I do believe he probably was the best high school football coach the school has had in years.

100% Truth. I've said it, my school district definitely gets enough funding to be successful, the problem is they're not spending it in the areas needed to improve the schools. These folks froze teacher salaries (already the lowest in the area), but increased the coaching stipends.

You should see all the answers now. All I can say, there's a lot of people in this country, particular Black folks who don't understand basic logic. It's really scary to know some of these folks probably work service jobs that require basic logic. And I'm sure most if not all want the jobs with the big bucks.

Cobb county actually pitched a plan to start holding parents responsible for kids not showing up for school or parents not showing up to meetings. Everything else you said here is dead on. APS here had a huge scandal a few years ago where teachers actually went to jail for changing grades because they received extra incentives for kids passing. I mean these fools actually had "grade parties" where they got together and changed these kids grades to passing so they could come up. ALL of them were black.
A couple of years before that, Clayton County schools lost their accreditation. Once again, black school board. The year after, Dekalb County schools got put on probation. Black school board and majority black teachers. Often times people try to make it about "the man" but again, you have to be able to draw teachers that actually care about these kids succeeding. And it's not that they don't have the money to do it because there are plenty of black areas in the city here where black people are rather wealthy. But even they send their kids to private school.

Technically, if you know math, you would know that if you have 3 unknown variables in 3 different equations, you can solve for the unknown variables. Therefore, the value for the beer mug is solvable or as you put it "defined". The 1 beer mug verses 2 beer mugs is similar to 1x in one equation and 2x in another equation and the 'x' represents the beer mug. The only undefined numbers in math are numbers like PI, whereas a beer mug symbol is very much defined if it represents some real number.

Okay man.... Just like everything else, you will twist things to suit yourself, but the symbols (burger, bottle, and beer mug) are just symbols like X, Y, and Z in most traditional math problems. And by the way, the two beer mugs together represent two times (multiplication) one beer mug instead of one independent variable as you put it.. One of fraternity brothers in Lynchburg, VA who was a medical doctor and who had just recently passed away would always tell me, there are a lot people who actually used other people's brains to get through school, which means they cheated to earn whatever degree they SUPPOSEDLY accomplished. His information was based on some of the dummies we had to deal with in our fraternity chapter (Gamma Omega in Lynchburg, VA), especially a few who had master degrees and were principals in the Lynchburg School System and surrounding school systems (Amherst County, Appomattox County, Madison Heights, etc.). When we have grown folks who desire to twist simple logic, it becomes really hard to get the children of the same grown folks to see clear and understand basic math and science. And from what I'm seeing on this board, there are a few on here who might have used other people's brains to finish school too. As I stated before, people are more accustomed to being told what to do/programmed instead of understanding how things really work.
Also, when one can't solve a simple logic problem, there's no need to make simple logic any more complex than what it is, such as solving a simple problem that has 3 equation and 3 unknown/symbols via matrix analysis/linear algebra.

Yes. When you are dealing with kids that have learning disabilities example of a 17 year old child in the 9th grade reading on a 3rd grade level and a 16 year old female reading on a 1st grade level in the 11th grade you're going to get issues in the classroom. The thing is most of these kids end up having babies and that child ends up with the same learning disabilities.

Although some of it is a learning behavior most of it isn't. Genes are passed on from one to another. If your parents had learning disabilities and never got help its very difficult for the child they produce not to have it because the parents don't see it as a problem.
