Bottom Line, , HE was on the hot seat when he got there...Thoes white tycons at Texas didn't want to see a black man leading probably the most powerful College team in the nation..
if this was a white coach I doubt with a young team and 2-2 record with a chance to win conference with Fresh and sophomores your hearing this,,.
Then to make matters worst, you have A white coach 100miles away making Houston look unbeatable
Where is the BS in what i said?? Is all true, He's had two top 10 recruiting classes, an Texas is 2-2 right at 500 with a chance to win the big 12 for the first time since 09 an go to a major bowl with a team full of Freshman and sophomores so how is he getting good his job threaten????Man cut the BS with the blame the man bit. If you don't produce at Texas you're going to get fired, it's that simple.
If he loses to Oklahoma....

Maybe he can go to Houston if Herman leaves...
They will probably promote Applewhite. Don't think Major wants to go to Texas again as an assistant when he is an alum who probably wants that job himself. Charlie will get calls from other schools if he gets fired. Especially schools like Purdue who will be desperate. LOL.

I'm a Longhorn fanatic, I know what we as fans and money contributors are saying..An just like said them top dollar hotshots didn't want him there in places place
I wanted Harbaugh or Shaw from standford in the 1st place but since Strong is here give him a chance to finish what he's started,,
You can't be this dense. Which team that's actually good has Texas played this year? The one good team they've played they got run off the field. Only way he secures his job is basically winning out. You do realize that no one they've played is currently ranked, right? Between all of the P5 teams they've played, they've given up 47, 50 and 49 points....to unranked teams. What good are top recruiting classes? Reminds me of Ron Zook at Florida, brought in plenty of talent... did nothing with it. And seriously, in your third year why are you even having a team full of freshmen and sophomores? Could it be the fact that he kicked 12 players off the team 2 years ago? And just as a point of reference, currently, Texas ranks 60th in recruiting. Notable teams ahead of them? #9 Texas A&M, #14 Arizona, #16 Maryland, #18 Mississippi State, #21 Duke, #22 Rutgers, #27 Memphis, #28 Iowa State/Oklahoma State, #33 Houston, #37 NC State, #40 Western Michigan, #48 UCF, #54 Texas Tech, #57 Texas- San Antonio...someone should see a problem with that.
Honestly, it's even worse when you've had two recruiting classes like that with a defense performing the way it is. Alabama has the least experience in the SEC this year. Clemson has the least experience in the ACC. Ohio State has the least experience in all of FBS. Stanford is in the bottom 10... Washington is starting 7 sophomores on offense. And on top of that, Texas was second only to Alabama with most all american freshmen on last year's team..where's the improvement? I just can't make excuses for him, that defense looks awful.
Yes you made very good points and I agree with everything except recruiting..he always does his at the end, last year they were ranked 91 during the season and 33 a day before NSD and ended up 7 or 6 after getting everyone...I also do feel the kids aren't doing hm a lot of justice either (missing tackles, missed assignments, not covering recivers down field) along with ppl didn't want him to succed to begin with, but I agree we haven't seen much improvement and he didn't do much to prove them wrong
Alabama has 5 stars waiting 3 years to get on the field (see Deshawn Hand). Texas boosters never wanted Strong to begin with. Most of UT's former coaches got at least 5 years. They should give him more time but that won't happen because he was never wanted by the big money donors. They live in a fantasy world where they feel they can get Saban, John Gruden, and ect.
There is no excuse Texas should be trying to play catch up to TAMU, Baylor, TCU and Houston. All those programs right now are better.
Regardless of how the boosters feel about Strong, Texas shouldn't be in this position.
It's not so much instant success but people at least want to see progress. When your team is getting worse by year you lose your support.
