LOL. Well he does have that jSU education and ACC graduate education. He didn't do like us and matriculate out of the South for some extra education and exposure.

Speaking of, have you made any of the buckeye watch dealios this fall? They've now spread out all across the greater Houston area, including the northern corridor.

Derrick Griffin, former Terry HS star, and MVP of the state championship squad has confirmed he left the TSU football program. This is quite a blow to the winless Tigers who recently announced starting quarterback (hurt in 1Q of opener vs Prairie View) will be lost for the remainder of the season. I dug a bit deeper and learned Griffin and an assistant coach had some "words" and that eventually led to his decision to quit. However, I reached out to Griffin this morning and the young man confirmed he will play basketball this season at TSU. Head coach Mike Davis is welcoming Griffin with open arms.

It's week 3, this happened 2 weeks ago I wanna say.

Why take away that from the kid. I'm not sure how severe the problem may have become, but a one on one talk should have happened if it didn't

Are you sure a one on one hadn't happen 4-5 times already since July?
Are you sure this wasn't his 4-5 time he broke a team rule just this school semester?
How do you (or outside of any of us who know what really happened) know what led to the final and immediate removal from the team?
How do you know how many times he was kicked off the team when Asberry was the head coach?

And how do you (any of you) know there wasn't a scheduled sit down after this incident that wasn't met?

I was posting that to hope those things I stated were done, as I stated in the rest of my post I wasn't sure how severe things had become.

If those things were done, well it was justified.

You gotta put your foot down somewhere.
 
So basically he was just doing whatever the hell he felt like doing and he got some act right from Coach Haywood. Probably tried to call coach's bluff and ended up back in the gym earlier than expected.
