Alcorn State vs. Alabama State: Game Updates - 6:00pm CT

Exactly. The East is really open this year
Saturday was Alcorn's first real football. We looked undisciplined and the offense hasn't found its rhythm. We were missing starters and the coaching staff has to learn how to make game-day adjustments. Even my 11 year old was frustrated Saturday. The fumble recovery in the fourth quarter was some BULL, Alcorn's player never touched the ball. The officiating crew could have reviewed the play, but chose not to take a look. The SWAC has to do better across the board.

Who's kicking game...sure wasn't the case for Alcorn...Should have easily blown out Alabama State.. The bs penalties helped Bama.
if you call letting a ball bounce off your pads ok in the kicking game then by all means. both teams showed they are greatly flawed and could have been beaten by a team that just didn't make a ton of mistakes. you didn't have to win this game just don't lose it. bama state was the biggest loser in this case.

i agree.

It's called defense too, most of SWAC schools don't have them

quarterbacks that couldn't hit the ocean with a rock while standing ankle-deep in the water has nothing to do with good defense. Honestly if I'm a wideout I'm like, "Why do I bother to run the routes? Dude can't hit me anyway."

We have a lot of work to do. We need to shore up the secondary coverage of the middle of the field, and Kaiss needs to expand the playbook. We were lucky to escape with the win.
