I had to make this post from my point of view! This is in no way a post to bash PV man, but I just gotta say that TxSU outplayed y'all
Boys! Big ups on the win, but it's been a long time since I have seen TxSU play the way they did and honestly had it not been for the QB getting hurt, I think we all know how it would have ended! I can't even be made at this L bcuz TxSU played a damn good game! We might not win a championship this year but I'm calling a great winning season! And with this new president, we will have our own stadium to play in eventually! Congrats PV!
 
I said it after the TX Southern coaching hire. Both PV & TXSU will be contending for SWAC Titles sooner rather than later.

TX Southern looks good in very short amount of time.
 



From what I saw, I like the direction TxSU is going. Fortunately for us, they let the W get away from them. But it's all good. They will definitely be turning heads this season, and catch A LOT of other teams sleeping...hopefully. I hope this wasn't just a one and done attempt to make a statement.
 
Coach Haywood wasn't lieing about the new physicality that sTu brings. There was hitting going on by sTu.

And if your oline continues its direction, #3 hard to tackle w/ great moves will have a great year. I sincerely hope Christophe makes a full recovery. He makes your O go.

TSU brought the wood last night like I knew they would, coach H will make them go this year, you could hear those hits all over the stadium. People think PV is bad because of how the game went, but TSU is much better, they will see
 
I know it sounds weird but I'm overly hype about sTu's resurgence and great playcalling/coaching I saw last night.

Texas Southern dominated the TOP, first downs, rushing, and yardage stats. That was a SOLID gameplan by the coaching staff of TxSU.

PVAMU has a LOT of work to do if it desires to be SWAC champion caliber. [I see you looking 79 Jag lol; the roster is semi-legit ;) ]
 
It's amazing what coaching can do to a team. And the way he got his Key player involved it's looking scary. And did y'all see the emotion he had for his players after that terrible call on the fake field goal and y'all say he's to calm. I bet that is how he is with his players behind the scenes all the time and they love it and feed off of it. He only has 3 seasons in the swac and that's the sad part
 
I like Texas Southern and PV resurgence because it makes the "status quo" of the SWAC West sweat, which is good for the SWAC conference as a whole.

We don't need oligopolies in the SWAC. Competition brings improvement.
 



I saw a well coached football team that was prepared for their opponent and didn't self destruct until that dooming 3rd quarter. They outflanked us on multiple occasions.

Come on, don't be salty. With the starting QB TSU was the obviously the better team. Take out the first 5-6 minutes of the 3rd quarter and TSU was still the better team. The W is what counts in the end but check the stats. PV should have not been on top. If you just looked at the stats with no scores it would lead you to think TSU won that game.

The football bounced PV's way on that day. As we all know, sometimes we just fall into something good if you deserve/earn it or not. That's life, I hope coach will take this as a learning opportunity to show the team (mostly the offense) how they lost the fight after a little adversity. Then show them how they were able to get back in the game because the Defense picked them up. This is an opportunity to build the team esprit de corps. He has to get them to see they lost this game, pv didn't win it. Our guys gave the game to pv when they lost their fight for just 5-6 minutes of a mere 60 minute game. Even with giving pv 16 points in a small window of time TSU still had their shots to take the game back. I am very proud of our young men on this team.
 
Looking at the stats, the game was fairly even so I don't know why folks keep bringing that up as a justification for who they think should've won.

Christophe accounted for nearly half of that total in less than 1 half of football.

It's all good, the football bounced their way that night. They need to take this W and move on, because they didn't beat TSU. TSU beat themselves, like that little #3 that kept running the ball out of the end zone no matter what. I was happy as hell when the coaches sat his arse down. I believe now that the staff has film of our guys in game situations some adjustments will be made and TSU will get better. I for the first time in a long time am looking forward to seeing the full season play out.

Come on man quit playing dumb you know if #11 hadn't gone down that total number would be a lot different for Texas Southern...no shade but you all would have gotten an L that night otherwise but hey shit happens that why you play the game!
 
At least two of Griff touchdown's should not have been called back. There photographs to prove it. This game crew should be permanently banned.

But that is life.
