At least one police officer has been shot in Baton Rouge on Sunday morning, and there's an active shooter situation in the area of Airline and Old Hammond highways, Baton Rouge police confirm.

Update, 10 a.m.

Two Baton Rouge police officers shot on Sunday morning have died, confirmed William Daniel, the city-parish's chief administrative officer.

No different than what we saw in the arab spring. People have a breaking point. Many people feel non-violence has failed us as a people and they want the blood of their oppressors. Same thing we saw in Libya, Tunisia, Egypt, etc.. I predict a situation here in America similar to what we saw with the IRA in Northern Ireland

Can't be worse than folks pushing conspiracy theories about why the identity of the LEO's killed in action weren't immediately released, forgetting that you have to give the families a chance to be notified and grieve before releasing that info.
 
I have seen the identities and races of 2 of the 3 officers, and the shooter, posted on FB. Of course I take it with a grain of salt, but the two officers I saw I believe are legit. One black (whose pic is above with a VERY young son) and one white. The shooter, if the picture is accurate, is black. Said to be with some segment of the Sovereign Citizens.
 
for the record. I am not glorifying nor trying to say this was a good thing. I was giving social commentary. I hate seeing innocent people shot and killed

You're right. Families have to notitifed before the public. That goes for LEOs and civilians.
