Clark Atlanta suspends men’s track program

Clark Atlanta University has suspended its men’s track and field program “for the next few years,” Athletics Director J. Lin Dawson confirms.

“Suspending or reducing a varsity sport is not an easy decision,” Dawson said. “The decision to right size the department was based on resources, competitiveness, gender equity, and facilities.”

The men’s cross country team and women’s running sports will not be affected.

Sad.

Question is how will you get distance runners to come to the school to only run cross country when they can go just about anywhere else and run cross country, indoor and outdoor track?
 



Saw this on the actual article:

"Clark Atlanta had 3,500 students for the 2015-16 school year. Roughly 74 percent of the enrollment base were female students."

That's a huge percentage of female students; 3 out of 4 students are female.

I can only imagine. Just looking at Tougaloo where the numbers were inflated like that. Those dudes had it made. They probably hate to see us JSU brothas headed over there. We used to go over there on Wednesday afternoons when they'd have a DJ in the cafeteria.,,,,,Lawd!!! The AUC is probably like that times 10.

Man, one night I was in the loo in a dorm room and they had a fire drill. It was a bunch of JSU greeks sneaking out at the same time.

Bruh @LS Syndicate and his chapter brothers were selfish mane. These jokers had an entire campus to themselves at Milsaps. There weren't a lot of black chicks there but they had enough and almost no brothers. We stumbled into a party one night thinking we done came up on a secret and see about 20 JSU Alphas in there. They had been running through that campus secretly for about 5 years.

Yeah. Five years, at least. Then y'all caught on and they chartered a Kappa chapter and we had to share the wealth. Lol.

I see a Delta from Milsaps in Downtown Orlando every now and then....I turn and go the other way every time. I thought I left all of that debauchery in Jackson. Lol

My boy was trapped in the girls dorm for over 24 hrs one time. They got smart and had guards stand right outside the exits. He called me to come all the way from West Jackson to create some kind of diversion. Lol. It didn't work. Never found out how he made it out or how much longer he was trapped up there.

They almost got me one night during room checks. They came knocking right when a brother was in action. They started unlocking the door. I ran across the room butt naked one step ahead of that opening door and jumped onto the counter by the sink. and hid in the corner between the mirror and the dresser beside it... Man. LMAO.... college man
