I'm sure some information may be a little off. We still gotta replace a good impact coach and Munson will not be on the team. The two impact transfers for us will be Edric Dennis and Maurice Rivers who will fill the void left by Gator.

I don't expect Southern, Bama state, and Alcorn to finish that low. Texas Southern, as stated in the article, will be the team to beat.

while I appreciate the coverage I know many in here could give a better synopsis of their schools hoop prognosis. for bama state a couple of guys that were sitting out were left off all together. they got a transfer sf from mississippi state who's from montgomery and came back after getting dismissed from msu. he transferred mid-year so should be eligible for the 2nd semester. also the 6-7 kid from ohio that sat out last year. as well no mention of tommy burton transferring after sitting out last season. I don't "know" why he left. he sat out due to grades I believe and transferred to a juco in idaho so I'm assuming its still grades. I believed he'd be an impact player in the swac. what they will do at the point is a question. jamal waters came to bama state as a walk on unbelievably (didn't stay one long) so I believe they can find another mighty might if no of the rogers, gee or leflore indicate they can take the job.

We'll finish dead last. We don't have any talent. We do have another juco pg that transferred in though.

For the last few years injuries have hurt you guys during regular season. Yall start slow but finish strong. Lew Jack always have yall in contention

True. We had a lot of new players come in last season. Hopefully they are used to play with each other. I'm glad we have some more big bodies.
 
The main thing we needed we got it with size. Williams (JUCO) could have an immediate impact if he can come close to the 13.5 PPG /13.5 RPG he averaged in JUCO plus we got 6'8 and 6'10 JUCOs behind him. Romain is one of the two best players in the SWAC (Griffin is the other) and I. Williams is one of the best shooters. If we can get that 3rd consistent scorer we'll be better than 7th this year

We open the season with Northwestern and West Virginia so that size and depth will be tested early.

Yall return most of your key players and Banks always have yall in contention. Out of the top 4 last year TxSu lost the most. I expect the Swac will be much more competitive this upcoming season. Coach B needs to get this coaching hire right
 
Jackson State will be the team to beat this yr. This will be our first yr under Brent with a COMPLETE team. We have a 6'8 kid named Rosco who is a stretch 4 their comparing him to Grant Maxey. Ed Dennis can GO!!! We haven't had a shooting guard like him in a while. Paris Collins is the emotional leader of this team. Chace Franklin a 6'5 guard who can score anywhere on the floor when healthy. Combine that with the depth that we have I just don't see us losing more than 2 games in conference. This is the yr that anything less than a championship would be a disappointment.

I can't find any stats on Derek though. I know he sat out last year but hopefully he can produce. With him, Taylor, Rivers, and Dennis all transferring in we shouldn't miss a beat (2 guys graduating, 3 transferring, and 2 not returning). We got our nucleus back with the only loss in production being Gator.

This is a foolish list. PV ranked that high w/ a new coach and new players? lol Not saying that it couldn't happen if the moons align themselves but as competitive as I see sTu, AlaSU, SU, JSU, and Alcorn St, I simply don't see us being that high.

Maybe those 8 seniors were the reason you underachieved. I'm more of the type that says underachieving starts with the coaches, but if you have good players with heart who can get after it, it'll take you far when SWAC play begins.

It could happen and you guys could still win the Swac. Yall finished 4th last season but still made the big dance. I think the competition will be stiff this season
