So why didn't you pen a letter to the president stating your disgust about the turf when that money could have been used for other aspects of the school? I mean from your post on that thread you weren't concerned too much about academics in relation to the turf.

Now if you did write one cudos for you but it seems that you are bringing up points to try and make SU look better than other schools when quite frankly that's not the point of the article.

I actually pen a letter to get Grambling's Nursing program back. It was too much of a strong program to watch disappear.

Look man...the article is about HBCU's on the D-I level. Now yes you have point about the issue of not keeping the doors open there would be no APR but again, that's not the point of the article.

SU has severe APR issues. How is SU going to fix that? Should they totally ignore it and worry about keeping the doors open?

SU is currently one of the casualties of that article.

Within the next 2 years you'll see if things have been fixed, after that 0 score from the unusable data drops off of the cycle. I trust the right steps have been taken.

Go back read that Advocate article that you all love to post everywhere, it tells you everything you need to know about our situation. The problem was more so having the right people in place to take care of business and turn in the right paper work. That didn't happen in the past, and we're being punished for it now. In a year or 2 we'll see if the changes made have put us back on track.

su's sports programs are academically challenged according to APR records aren't they? The NCAA seems to think so.
I won't go into detail about the history of paying folks for grades though.:snicker:

And he's trying to blame the NCAA after they had given su every chance in the book to get it right. Heck, they even came to the campus in person for hands on training, and they STILL couldn't get it right. Now THAT'S sad and kinda funny at the same time. Seems like the apples don't fall too far from the tree.

You're the only one on here trying to blame the NCAA when your own crew are on here pulling for su to get it right. Take ownership of your ignorance for a change. You can't blame EVERYTHING on them folks.

Do I have to get Louisiana’s newly elected Governor John bel Edwards to explain this to y’all too? THERE WON’T BE ANY SPORTS IF THE ACADEMIC SIDE OF THE SCHOOL IS SHUTDOWN. For some strange reason some schools fail to the see the importance of that when it comes to the school’s athletics. Fixing problems in your athletic program are a lot easier than trying to revitalize a closed school. If you don’t believe me, ask anyone who graduated from Morris Brown College or any HBCU that is now defunct.

You just say anything to get attention. Where exactly did you read in this thread that I blame the NCAA??? But since you brought it up, it does seem strange that us Black folks would take an emotional feel good article as the death penalty of an ENTIRE school or all HBCU schools, which I have yet to see happen. But I have witnessed schools being closed due to their failure to meet their ACADEMIC accreditation.

So su's in danger of being closed due to academic ineptness? That's the first I heard. What we do know is that it has severe APR problems that's making not only the SWAC look bad, but HBCU's along with it. Never mind that though, you have new turf.
 
Lawd why do y'all even waste your time going back and forth with the same ninjas about the same thing over and over? The APR and unuseable data has been explain to them for the last three year from Kenn to USA today and them ninjas still can't seem to wrap it around their heads.

So what does that tell ya? That thank God apr wasn't a factor in them getting their degree.

And then the same "ninjas" try to slide in shade about the turf not realizing that those funds were donated and earmarked specifically for that purpose. I guess maybe if we rented the turf they'd approve.
