I agree. To me, he's Dale Brown, but Italian and a better recruiter.

With all of that talent Cal recruited to UK, the Wildcats should've had 3 titles.

He's cheated EVERYWHERE he's been. Big difference.
 
Leta black coach do what he just did and you would see rules get changed left and right to stop it.

All that talent and you still have ONE ring. What good is having all those NBA guys and that one ring is all he has to show. At least Coach K can brag that he has RINGS despite the collection of flops he had go to the NBA.

If my whole team is good enough top get draft or sniff an NBA roster-I should have titles to back it up.

Yes he clowned the NCAA but what can they do? Tell teams to stop renting players? The main folks who are happy the mid majors that get deep tourney runs.

He is an excellent recruiter and motivator, but he's an average X and Os coach. When he doesn't out-talent a team, he's in trouble.
 
Cal has had very talented teams, especially at Kentucky. But it is difficult to blame Cal too much for not winning more championships simply because he's had to try to win with a bunch of freshmen almost every year, at least at Kentucky. The last time UK got to the NCG, all five starters were freshmen. And only aof those guys came back the next year.

That's hard to do even for a team with talent.

There were two times, I think Cal should have won the title but didn't: 2008 with D-Rose and them boys at Memphis and 2010 at UK with John Wall and Demarcus Cousins.

But Cal had mild success in the NBA, too. So the guy is a really good head coach.

That's his fault though. He sells out to get all of the top 1-and-done players, and that strategy consistently bites him in the a--.

It doesn't bite him in the ass because its allowing his team to be in position to capture it every year to win a National Championship.

Yet he's only won 1 title, including getting knocked out in the 2nd round this year. When he faces teams that can neutralize that huge talent advantage, he gets beat. He can't use the excuse that he can't win titles because he always has teams that lack experience when it is his recruiting philosophy that constantly puts him in the same situation.

Kentucky posts perfect APR score

For the third consecutive year, the Kentucky men’s basketball team has posted a perfect single-year Academic Progress Rate score of 1,000, the NCAA announced Wednesday. But that wasn’t the only perfect score the Wildcats received.

The Wildcats’ four-year composite APR score was also a perfect 1,000. It marks the first time in the 12-year history of the APR that the men’s basketball team has had a perfect four-year composite score. The NCAA cut score this year was 930, and the Division I men’s basketball average score was 964.
