Congratulations Southern, JSU, and Alabama St on making the Finals....(Whispering...I hope ya'll shoe laces continue to come untied during each of games...LOL)!

I beg to differ there were ticky tack fouls called on both ends of the floor,

What's up with the 3 technical fouls called (2 against TSU and 1 against SU)? This is not pee wee basketball. What could these players have said to warrant a technical foul? I know at least two of the T's the comments were directed at the opposing player.

Man it was horrible. The tech on Griffin was a stare down ala Rasheed Wallace. Not warranted in my opinion but he looked at that ref like he wanted to launch him into the stands lol. The ticky tack stuff in the 1st half was on another level.

If your assessment is correct that is straight BS. I HATE sensitive refs.
 
Good game SU.

I think the championship will be Jackson's game to lose. Due to the fact that This will be SU's third game in a row. SU had to play the tougher tournament schedule of the two teams in the championship game. The game against TSU didn't end until 10:30. Let's say SU leave the arena by 11:30. They finish eating by 12:30 and in the bed by 1:00. At the earliest SU gets in the bed at 12:30.

The championship starts tomorrow at 5:30. SU will get to the arena no later than 3:30 to face a little better rested JSU team that they split with during the regular season.

After what this team has been thru, this is nothing. Banks speech to the team after TSU made that run, had me ready to suit up lol.

Well I know that's not true. If your team doesn’t finish second in your own tournament. You're on the bubble.
 
SU played like a team on a mission at the start of the game. Gotta give them props for holding on to this win.

As much as I hate it when our regular season champion falls in the tournament and we are left to watch a luck/ugly record SWAC Tournament Champion embarrass us on national tv in the Big Dance, this season is much different. The SWAC has really improved as a whole in basketball. We had 5 teams with double digit wins and a good number of wins over non conference programs,(including major conference programs). The SWAC title game will be interesting, but I expect SU to win it.
 
It's all "swac-love" when TSU loses. It's all good. Hopefully Mike Davis learned his lesson about not putting a press on once you get back in the game the way we did. I look forward to an embarassing blowout to whoever gets the tourney championship. The more the embarrassment, the better. I would elaborate on the refs because i was THERE and saw plenty go down. But I won't. Continue the love fest.
