Southern Baseball team ineligible for NCAA tournament.


I think its unfair in comparison to other college sports that baseball only gets 11.7 full ride scholarships to split between a team of 25+ players. Heck, up until 2005, TSU only offered 3-5 scholarships spread between a full team. When I played most of our players were on some type of academic scholarships.

On another note, they over awarded for the last 7 or 8 years and only won 1 championship.

By you asking this question made me realize them fools cheated and only to win 1 championship. AD said 7 or 8 years - I wonder if goes back to those uber talented teams in the late 90s early 2000s. I guess competition has increased since those dominant teams of SU. No matter how you slice it though - SU baseball history is the standard of HBCU baseball.

When J. Cole cheated we won one championship too. Lol...

Just shows how critical it is to a have competent compliance program in place.

Or not cheat. There is no way you make me believe Cador did not know for 7 or 8 years. Compliance just exposed him.

You know it does that is why they were so comfortable continuing to do all these years...Shame on you Coach Cador and I was going to may you my next husband, now I can't you are a cheater!

JCole embellished when he was interim AD. All that came to a halt once our current AD was in place.
 
Not sure how anyone can be surprised. Cador seemingly has in his program with no supervision for years.

From scholarships to lying to get a raise to scheduling games on final exam days (that he cancelled an hour before first pitch), Cador has been a mess for years and finally exposed.

Kudos to Southern for getting their act together.
 
So, Cador cut some players with eligibility left because of the cheating he was doing and got caught. Interesting.......

No one is excusing what's happened at all and criticism will be well-deserved.
