Cam newton quit





I don't understand why the last fumble was not at least reviewed, Cam's arm appeared to be going forward which would make that an incomplete pass. That also would explain why he did not dive for the ball , thinking it was a dead ball. If Peyton was in that position, I guarantee they would have at least reviewed that play.

Carolina's offensive game plan, in particular their offensive, and I do mean, OFFENSIVE, line f***** the Panthers last night. If I was Cam, I would have thought about quitting on their ass too.

Now that fumble he didn't dive for ... he ain't never going to live that down!

We good man. Carson finger on his throwing hand was dislocated against philly. We beat em bad but we loss tyrann and carson finger got fugged up and it never got better. Notice early in the season we went down the field with ease after that finger got fugged up it was over with. He stayed upright but one hit cost us the whole season.
 
Even though I was going for Carolina, it was fun to watch those guys rush the passer. Von Miller and D Ware are monsters!

Like I said on Facebook, Cam Newton was making a business decision by not going for that football. It looked that way to me. I kid. lol I think he was hoping that the ref call it incomplete but you still have to jump in that pile.

And nobody's asking why? Perhaps he knew before the game they were going to lose.

It's mighty interesting to say the least that a 40 year old player comes back after missing six games.

Gets brought up on HGH charges but ex-government officials interview the reporter making the claim, and he suddenly recants his story and the WHOLE story goes away.
Then this 40 year old quarterback doesn't lose another game all season and beats the very team who had been winning games against teams by averaging 30 something points a game? But suddenly the offense can only manage ten points? Please.

Carolina gave this game to Denver like they were told. There's no legit way Carolina handles Seattle, smokes Arizona (on both sides of the ball), then lays down against Denver.

Carolina screwed up every chance they got. Almost too much to not believe this wasn't deliberate.
 
Just as a side note, Carolina was favored by 5.5. Lot of people lost money last night.

Honestly, it appeared from watching the replay that Cam might have twisted his knee or something that stopped him from going for the ball. Perhaps he could have put his feet down wrong while going towards it. I don't know though. Just an assumption.
 
We all know the mafia runs sports, but that won't stop people from betting and it certainly won't stop folks from watching. The NFL has all but admitted this.
The ending made for a good story line though of the "golden boy" who can do no wrong, going out with a victory over a Black quarterback who called himself Superman.

Miller has been playing on another level this season.
 
Hilarious excuses up in here, ya'll need to quit. Dude not only did not dive for the fumble, he jumped AWAY. You don't do that, hoping for a whistle in any game let alone the SUPER BOWL. As for the interview, this is the league MVP, the face of the Panthers and NFL basically...you don't sulk like a sore loser kid in front of the cameras and abruptly walk off. Win will class, lose with class.

Man this is a real double standard here on 2 fronts. First, no way Brady or Manning would have been expected to hop on that ball. They both would have jumped out of the way and there just would have been chuckles by the commentators and fans about it.

2nd, I've seen Belichick, Bill O'Brien, Popovich, etc have similar or worse interactions with the media following a loss to include the walk-offs. How is a QB held to a higher standard than a coach?
 
Quit making excuses for Cam, were there questionable calls? Yes, but you beat that by scoring more points which the Panthers didn't. The defense played the best from both teams and the ball bounced Denver's way all night due to better effort on their part. Good game
 
With Belichick and Pop the media and public have grown accustomed to their less than accommodating responses when they speak to the press. With Belichick being so crafty and evasive it's almost comical. Pop on the other hand is on a different level being almost rude. Cam was just in a bad place last night. I wonder if he blames his coaching staff for not putting them in a position to play a better game. There will definitely be some adjustments in the off season. You can't hold the ball as long as he does and expect to win against a strong and fast defense like Denver has.

Not so, even on Manning's INT last night he a made a feeble attempt, got knocked down, yet it was an attempt... to get in the in on the tackle.
As for coaches and anyone else who are bad losers, I'd say and have said the same about them. None get a pass.
