Ole Miss QB to Grambling

The last time we won 3 games, we went 8-3 the next season. SU had a losing season and then won the SWAC. PV had a losing season, then won the SWAC. Alcorn won 4 games in 2012 and won 9 the next year. If you think you struggled with us this year, you about to really learn how real your struggle is... and you are right. I don't operate from your perspective. We are JSU. .,..and the last time we went to Houston, our seniors were freshmen. Them boys hungry!

We did not have a losing season the year before we won SWAC. We only lost one game that year ('08) which was against Grambling. The year before that ('07) we were 7-3.

TP has been saying the same nonsense about JSU & Alcorn for about 3yrs now and hasn't been right yet. You'll get it right one day man lol

Alcorn should still be strong. It really depends on how the Oline looks. The outside skill positions may be way better including our passing game. Backs are a given at Alcorn now. As for yall, I just don't think JSU is ready and it will take more years than you all realize. You are 3-8 with back to back fired coaches for a reason. But why am I trying to use logic and reason with TP, you don't operate from that perspective anyway

Man, don't talk see sports to this dude......his feelings take over....

Fobbs has been busy I see...

Texas transfer Meander hungry for second chance at Grambling

For almost two years, Montrel Meander's life, let alone his football career, was in limbo.

Thanks to a mutual interest with Grambling, he'll get a chance to resurrect his playing career for what he and the Tigers hope is for the next several years.

In actuality, Meander, a former 6-foot-3 Texas wide receiver, will have an opportunity to start his career since he's never played a down of football at the collegiate level.

After sitting out the 2013 season with a redshirt year, Meander was involved in an incident in June 2014 that later led to a sexual assault charge and his dismissal from the football team.

Grambling St is loading up solidifying positions. Hope it works out for GSU football and him, the 2nd chance.

The SWAC W will indeed be very, very interesting this fall.

What have I been wrong about in the last three years?

I don't see anything Alcorn has done to separate yourselves from JSU. In your best years of late, you are 2-2 vs JSU under Hopson and that could have easily been 3-1 in favor of JSU if we have an offense this year or if Ivy was able to play vs Alcorn. We were down to what should have been 3rd and 4th string QBs when we played Alcorn.

People say this stuff EVERY year in the offseason and every year you still only get 2-3 good teams and the rest sucks. I don't see GSU doing anything this year. We do have to see what SU can do on defense and Haywood or not, nobody is concerned with TxSo. No one has even cared who he hired for assistants.. has he even hired assistants.. LOL People were tryna see everytime coach Tony Hughes farted lately. GSU will challenge PV for the WEST but then again, I used to think PV had a shot a few years prior and they flopped...LOL But right, now, no team in the WEST should be able to touch PV. Alcorn will be favored in the EAST but Alcorn is not the same team they were with Simmons and they lose a lot of key players. They won't beat JSU this year... Its gonna be a lot of mad Indians in MS. I am more interested in what Jenkins can do at BAMA State than what is going on at West schools. I want to see if Jenkins can coach without cheating. This is the SWAC and he will have a spotlight on him. We petty in these parts and I'm sure AAMU (and Josh Moon) gonna keep an eye out for whats going on in the Gump. If he can't cheat, I can't see him being as successful.

I stopped reading right here. You ought to be the last person on this board to talk about predictions. Weren't you the one bragging on having the best BCF coaching staff around this time last year? You are so worried about other teams. If you scared say you scared

JSU was hurt mainly last year by not having a QB... We should not have lost to ANY of the EAST teams. Your staff struggled with mine and you have no excuses.. Barlow left yall with good to decent talent.

The only thing that was hurt last year was your pride. The game was only close due to the weather.

I guess telling yourself that makes you feel better huh? Smh

yes, the truth makes me feel better. YOU can't refute it.

But JSU should never let ASU come withing a TD of us so even with a win, it would have been a moral loss. Ya'll not on our level.

TP, Jenkins loaded up during the mid year signing period. He brought in over 20 new players including 5 from prep schools and the rest from JUCOs and FBS schools. He has a plethora of redshirted and players sitting out from last season. We're looking at a complete revamping of personnel. At least we have spring training to figure things out. The Hornets have improved their overall athleticism with speed, size and skill. If Jenkins 1st year was an indication of his coaching ability, I'll take it. His team improved every time they played. You should be worried. BTW, we're even more excited about the Feb signing class. We thought Barlow could recruit but this crew is more national.

Sitting here at work with a Ole Miss Alum he said Kincaid couldn't hit the back of a barn and he's currently on crutches but good pick up.

Your colleague is being a little extreme. Kincaid was decent when he played, but he was not Chad Kelly or Ryan Buchanan. And now they have a 5-star freshman on campus. Kincaid didn't want to change positions....he'd be even further down the depth chart at WR or DB.

IMO, he is slightly better than Trae Rutland. Rutland took JSU to the SCG one year and to a 3-8 season the next lol, so who knows how things will work out for him at Grambling.

Trae Rutland was really terrible so Kincaid is just going to be terrible. Gotcha
