AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura & Bullet Club in WWE?

Listen up maggots! And that's an order!
At Monday night's Wrestle Kingdom 10, A.J. Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura faced each other for the first time. Little did we know that just hours after their match – which ended with a show of respect between the two mainstays – the possibility arose that we'd soon see them competing in an even bigger arena: Vince McMahon's WWE.

Yet that appears to be the case, following a report from Major League Wrestling Radio host and former WWE writer Court Bauer that said Styles, Nakamura and other Bullet Club members (widely considered to be Doc Gallows and Karl "Machine Gun" Anderson) had given their notice to New Japan. The rumors picked up steam, and seemed to be confirmed at New Japan's Tuesday event, New Year Dash, when the Bullet Club – led by member Kenny Omega – turned on former leader Styles and left him lying on the mat.

Also, NXT Champion Finn Bàlor ("Prince" Fergal Devitt) has been teasing folks via social media of a Bullet Club reunion in WWE with Styles, Anderson and Gallows

 



@GAD Going after the top indy/Japan talent is, IMO, more of Triple H's doing than Vince.

NXT is just blowing everything else WWE is offering away in terms of in-ring action and storylines. The rumor is for AJ Styles is that he will debut in the Royal Rumble match.

I know WWE tried to get the Young Bucks as well, but they said they didn't want to uproot their families from California and move them cross-country to Florida. They also feel they have a good thing going with New Japan and the indies.
 
Hopefully the Young Bucks will end up in WWE one day, but AJ is getting up in age at some point he should be WWE champ
 
It's a temporary but interesting fix to their situation with all the injured WWE Superstars. AJ and Nakamura are the most interesting additions but they are both 35 or older so I can't see them wasting 2-3 years on the mid-card.

I just don't trust WWE Creative. Look at all the homegrown superstars they have that ain't injured that they are misusing/not pushing (New Day, Dolph, Rusev, Bray Wyatt (especially him), Deam Ambrose, Sasha Banks, Naomi, Emma, etc.)

They can make hella money with NXT women's champion Bayley. However, folks is afraid Vince will mess it up

We all know they will lol. I don't trust creative especially with the Divas. Just look at how they did with the other person in that classic match (Sasha Banks). Team BAD is the female version of New Day. No way Sasha shouldn't have that title on her now with the momentum she had before Flair's daughter.

It's obvious they will break up Team BAD but they can't mess it up or they will set Sasha and Naomi even farther than they are now lol

Some high-powered international talent is set to become free agents like AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura. Styles just finished his stint with New Japan Pro Wrestling (world's second-largest promotion behind WWE) and Ring of Honor (major independent American promotion) in the states. Nakamura's New Japan contract is supposed to expire soon. Rumor has it that Gallows' New Japan contract also expired.

Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows are also slated to leave New Japan. Anderson and WWE's Finn Balor co-founded the popular Bullet Club faction in New Japan before Balor came to WWE. Bullet Club is the hottest thing in the business at the moment. With BC members Anderson and Gallows rumored to come to WWE, along with Styles — who replaced Balor in the BC after Balor left for WWE — some folks think this means Vince and Triple H are looking to have their own BC in WWE.

All of this coming in arguably WWE's most profitable part of the schedule — the time between the Royal Rumble to Wrestlemania.

Plus with Seth Rollins, Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan, Cesaro and now John Cena out with surgeries and rehab until after Wrestlemania 32 ... it looks a little thin at the top of that card in Jerry's World.

AJ Styles is the most recognizable name for American rasslin' fans, thanks to being the centerpiece of TNA since its inception until he left a couple of years ago. Styles is also the first foreigner since Brock Lensar to hold the IWGP Heavyweight Championship (New Japan's top belt).

This would be awesome! I've dropped the Network because the product was blah, but I usually watch for the Rumble, my favorite PPV. And you know I wanted to hit Wrestlemania since I was in Houston, but that's a nice penny with a baby.

I only have WWE Network to watch NXT and the old school rasslin they've put up.

Rumor has it that if AJ is signed he will go directly to the main roster and debut in the Royal Rumble match
 
I've got the network and now I'm gonna have to watch the Royal Rumble to see if AJ shows up

That would be their best move since he is the most recognizable name. He (nor Samoa Joe) don't need NXT with over a decade in TNA and then NJPW/ROH. . Plus, as much as I (used to) like TNA, this has to sting when the guy who was the heart and soul of your company and was at one point the #1 ranked wrestler while with TNA when they were the #2 promotion in the country will be in WWE because you didn't wanna sign him.

It also shows that Styles worked his butt off after leaving TNA to get WWE to look at him because they said they didn't wanna sign him because of his age and were looking to build their own young talent. i'm still reluctant about his age but as I said before it's a temporary fix and Styles still has 2-3 years before he hits 40 so it works for him to strike while the iron is hot.

I'm not too fond of Gallows and Anderson signing with them because the WWE always drops the ball with wrestlers like that (see Albert who was a huge star before resigning with WWE and was comedic relief within a year). The tag team division in the WWE is kind of stagnant now but better than it was about a year ago

The ironic thing about Albert (NXT coach Matt Bloom) is that he and Karl Anderson were NJPW Tag Team Champions and he did well for himself in Japan. The best thing for WWE to do with Anderson and Gallows is for them to come in and immediately reform Bullet Club with Balor and Guns-n-Gallows get the tag straps immediately as a bad ass team that can work and is over with the crowd. As much as I like the New Day, I hate the Freebird Rule being used for a comedy act.

I just wished WWE would've pulled the trigger on a Joe/Cena feud playing off how they broke in together. Joe and AJ should be on the main roster. However, as a big "Swagsuke" mark, it would be crazy to see him on the main roster. Daniel Bryan and Nakamura have pitched a match between them for years, and they were roommates at the New Japan dojo in the states.

AJ has done a great job of changing his style in the last few years. He was arguably one of the business' top high flyers along with PAC/Neville and some of the Mexican luchadors. Him adopting that calf killer submission is genius. Even if you put AJ in the high midcard with the Intercontinental/US belt, it gives a weekly sure fire good match to anchor the show around.

Bruh, the possibility of AJ being in the Rumble will be the primary reason I watch it.

Sidenote: I told someone that Bayley is the best pure babyface I've ever seen since Ricky Steamboat. If I'm Vince, I'll bring her up and let that merchandise money from little girls just rack on in.

Also: Now that Sami Zayn (El Generico) is back, I need him to eliminate Kevin (Steen) Owens from the Rumble to get that feud rekindled. It was awesome in Ring of Honor.
 
I'm good with AJ doing that. He only has so many years left at a high level so take advantage of it while you can. He's done everything he's needed to do in wrestling except wrestle in the WWE. Maybe this will quiet the WWE Stans like it did with Sting (who probably was 5 years too late wasting the past 2-3 years in TNA)

Just read former ROH and TNA champion Austin Aries is in Pittsburgh possibly to undergo medical testing for WWE. A-Double can go with the best of them. It would be interesting to see him in NXT or on the main roster
 
Can't believe just 3 years ago TNA had both on their roster and was beating the hell out of WWE as far as product is concerned (but then again so has most of the other top 5 orgs as far as in ring product compared to the main roster at WWE)
