to you it doesn't. but it's awfully ironic that thug is routinely used as it relates to black people or black athletes, though.

Christian men don't go around lying about their exploits with thugs in a Popeyes restaurant or go around agreeing with bigots that another black man is working with terrorist to take over his country. Sambo's do that sort of thing. They're the type that help set the atmosphere to assassinate Dr. King

Not the type of role model I would call remotely outstanding unless I had like mindset or was a bigot.

This Odell Beckham situations is gonna force the NFL to have uncomfortable conversations if it is true that some of the Panthers players were calling him a gay slur during pregame.
 
They didn't seem to have a problem with the dude on Seattle teams shouting he would kick/kill every N-word. So it'll be interesting to see just what they are going to address. Especially since it's a third party making the accusations (who's probably gay) and not OBJ.

No they don't . But I haven't seen or heard anywhere where OBJ made any complaints. More than likely some gay guy trying to get some sort of recognition for gay rights.

It started with my generation JR. I don't know what happened to some of my brethren.

Sidenote: this little white wideout in HS once called me the N word. A few drives later we caught an interception while I was on defense and I pulled a Warren Sapp on his azz. :lol:

Man, that is still on of my favorite hits of my career. As soon as I saw the DB grabbed the ball, I made a b-line for his azz

Actually, every generation has contributed to it. I call it the "Slaveship Theory". The further away we get from slavery (chronologically), the more intolerant we become to any and all mental, emotional or physical duress, which makes the subsequent generations seem weaker or softer or whatever. My kids will probably say the same things we are saying now about the generation after them.

As for this incident, I think the refs should take the heat for it. It is their job to curb that mess very early in the game. From my understanding, they are supposed to monitor players before the game as well as during the game. I've seen some teams get penalized before the opening kickoff.

Apparently Deion Sanders reported that the slur were among the things that Panthers players were shouting at Beckham during pregame warm ups. ESPN reported that other members of the Giants also heard the insults.

So this is beckham. - interesting.
 
Let's think about this for a moment. Yes. They had no business bringing bats on the field and they have been doing this all season. With that being said....what dumbass really want to attack a player with it during pregame in broad daylight for everyone to see? If you really think they were going to beat up Odell before a game, you have to be the most gullible person I've ever known. Odell just lost his cool and showed that he can be easily rattled during a game. He beat Norman on a deep route and somehow lost concentration by dropping a pass that he normally catches with ease.The NFL is dealing with concussion issues and Odell's dumbass earholed another player with his helmet. That led to his suspension. I'm a Giants fan and he really disappointed me with his actions.

He and my Lil cuz are like brothers. So you can imagine what he means to the family. I'll be the first to say he really, really disappointed me.
 
Why is no one talking about the refs? That crew should be suspended along with Beckham! And looks like Norman is doing this a lot, he is already going at it with Jones and White of Atlanta.
