Texas High School Football Playoffs

Ns had the better talent by far....they did not have a true qb or the running backs they were known to have in the past but they played fearless and that's how you beat those teams

They just pounded the hell out of West Lake on offense. The defense was relentless. I still don't get that last play West Lake ran. WL had a better chance banging it with their QB than that trick play they tried...in my opinion. My son thought differently.

NS's offense was very simple...just pound WL into submission. They ran and ran and then ran some more.

NS's "offense"... They don't have one... Lol. All they did was zone right, zone left, zone QB keeper... and threw in a few 5 yard out routes.. I've watched them for the past four weeks. As the old saying goes you need a little luck and DEFENSE to win a Championship.

We'll we know that you understand how it feels. NTX has dominated the last couple decades, so enjoy your season. NTX will be back in the mix and you know it.
Merry Christmas..to you enjoy your gift.

They don't understand. That's why I didn't say too much of anything in this thread. lol We know the deal.

Oh really, what do you consider to be STX?

If the city line doesn't touch the Dallas, TX city line you can't claim it.

TSF, you done bumped your damn head. I don't know why some folks think Dallas encompasses all of North TX. NTX is sooooo much more than Dallas. Catch up on your N. TX geography and get back at me. Oh, and North TX is not something I coined, the term has been in use for decades, try google.
You know you, no "Some" of you Houston people really need to get out more. This joker talking about if it don''t touch Dallas. What damn map service do you Run?

Residents of the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex generally consider North Texas to include the area south of Oklahoma, east of Abilene, andnorth of Waco. A more precise term for this region would be the northern part of the central portion of Texas

My bad we have enough good schools in the Greater Houston Area we don't need to claim a region.

Houston is in the Upper Gulf Coast, the smallest region in Texas.

That's not how the metroplex works bruh. Beltline road/street runs through 15 differing municipalities before eventually turning into an FM road some 52 miles away lol. I think that's why they call it the "metroplex." Sleep can correct me if I'm wrong, since I was a transplant who lived there for 2+ decades and came to know all of this stuff.

You are right we don't understand why Allen has 6,000 students enrolled at one school. Katy has only 3,000. Allen should complete in all sports not just football.

It's a bunch of big shit up there, TSF. Same can be said for SLC's, Lufkin's, and TJT's model. :D A cajillion+ students and a larger talent pool to pull from. Be competitive and get w/ the program. (stating comment KNOWING there will be 2 more 6A schools built in my home area alone to continue to water down the talent that's already there smh ).

Calm down, Sleep. I won't sit idle and let them piss on NTX lol.

What SHOULD be discussed is the hibernation of the golden-triangle region AND the semi-resurgence of the STX (San Antonio) corridor. ::read:: Judson had a BUNCH of super sophs on their squad. I have a WR and QB cuzin there who are already receiving collateral from the PAC-12 schools. *whistling*

LOL@"good." "Good" collectively where? Not where I'm looking lol. There are a LOT of individuals here and there that are GREAT on specific teams in the Houston area but as a TEAM, I don't see too many outside of the familiar names: NS and Katy lol, historically > 15 years.

Name the good schools in NTX, most of your schools are less than 20 years old.
Just off the cuff...

ET.
SLC is... man. They are a trendsetter.
Plano.
Allen.
McKinney. ::read:: (y'all ain't ready and don't know your history :D )
Carter.
Kimball.
SOC.
ODW.

Sleep can add more.

ET. SLC, & Allen have all had good 5 year runs. The main difference between our schools and your schools, down here we damn near have a school on every other block. ET, SLC, & Allen are the only show in town. That's why Allen has 6,000 students.

Man please they can't build schools fast enough up here. You note the newer schools are dominating, you know what that's all about. Hell it's dangerous to raise your kids in the city round he'r. So Momma & daddy were college athletes have degrees and jobs so they move the hell out of the city. The level of ignorance is to the point where a kid will kill your kid out of jealousy over their clothes for something simple like that. So these parents move their kids the fugg out of the inner city depleting the older schools of talent. For example Johnathan Gray who was a beast at the H.S. level in TX. His dad and I played together in H.S. he said no way in hell his son will go the the school we went to, so he moved out to Aledo and they rode Johnathan to 3 state titles. The only kids left at the dominant schools of old are the ones that have no choice. Many of the schools that are dominating now were cow pastures when I was in H.S. Trust me, watering down the inner city schools is planned. They want the families in the suburbs to fell like they are getting their money's worth when the move out there with the sense of community and winning. They have tried to redraw the lines to water down SOC for years a few powerful council members and community activist been fighting it. Any way, ever dog has his day. N.TX football is a beast, remember #1 LaSalle got slapped down by Trinity and Trinity wasn't even that good this year.

When South Lake Carol reached the numbers that they needed to build a second school the community members "Parents who were Lawyers" filed suit to prevent them from building a second H.S. The ended up building a second school but it's still South Lake Carol H.S. 9th & 10th grade campus. Now they are about to build a 3rd in the next couple of years they will all be SLC (9th grade center, 10th & 11th center, 11th & 12th center) all one school. They said it gets the kids ready for college atmosphere.
Do you think anyone will be there to fight this fight for or donate the money to make this happen to keep the inner city schools strong? Hell to tha Naw....
