Meet the strength coach Alabama will pay like a head coach

Not only will he make more money than a lot of Head Coaches . . . he'll make more money than a lot of College Presidents . . . that may not be uncommon for a head coach to make more than many presidents, but for a S&C Coach . . .

Look at their damn weight room!!! Watch those behind the scenes shows on SEC Network. He is a maniac but He gets the Best results.

I wonder if any swac schools S&C have ever trekked down to Tuscaloosa to pick his brain ir emailed him for tips or dietary regiments?

hard to say if he knows more or blessed with talent...it's more collaboration than anything as HBCU folks know more than PWC folks since you do more with less but since your not driving the latest and greatest people think you know less
Bruh these people are fooled into thinking SEC coaches are Geniuses. The get 4 and 5 star studs and best equipment and dietitian the should be able to produce great players.

I agree 199%. It's like folks brag on rich kid private schools or so called great schools. Those teachers have it easy and don't really have to prepare m show me the teacher from the inner city hard knocks school who bust their butts of preparing kids who come from disadvantage situations. That's a teacher who earns their pay.

So what Yall saying is that "They" 45lb plates are real and Ours are not 45lbs plates. They have the same Weights We been having but some how and some way They must lift theirs different. Gimme a break.

IRON IS IRON!!!!!

Really??

When I was on the yard, the athletic department hired husky white dude who supposedly had trained all sorts of college and pro athletes, including Olympic-level athletes.

We used to clown that cat. LOL!

They have better programs and supps honestly. Some of it is resources, some is the mindset of the players. In my personal experience, the SWAC attracts a fair amount of lazy players in that regard. I had some teammates that would go in the weightroom, go wet their shirt in the bathroom and then leave. Hard to do that when every workout is being recorded and the S&C staff is reviewing the workout tape like game film.

The supps and meal plan stuff is a big factor also.

Damnnnnnnnnnn ! U serious? I never forget talking to an Ole Miss transfer who never actually saw the field and I aksed him the difference. His response was those dudes take it serious and s&c is on they ass. Nobody skips weight room or they are cut immediately. Totally different mindset is correct.

Fast Forward to 10:48 mins and start listening to his response. Guys, nothing has changed when it comes to strength and conditioning. A squat rack is still a squat rack. A bench press rack is still a bench press rack. Nothing had changed in Strength and Conditioining that much. The only thing Bama really did was add an "awe factor" and limit player movement to get the work done. That's it. YOU DO NOT NEED A VERY BIG WEIGHTROOM LIKE BAMA's TO FIELD A SUCCESSFUL FOOTBALL TEAM.

As STC60 alluded to earlier: a 45 pd weight is a 45 pd weight. These HBCU Administrations can keep telling lies all they want about facilities.

THANK YOU GOTDAMMIT!!!!!

Dats All I been saying for 50 years. A curl is still a curl at Gsu. The difference is "They" curl alot more times than the average school. Supplements only do so much. Dat Iron is still Iron at Gsu or at Iowa.

I really wonder how many Swac S&C coaches go to clinics or get tidbits or notes from other successful coaches. Information floods the Internet on Weight training and Dietary methods to increase strength and stamina and build muscles. Are We even tapping into those streams of information or do We still have the "We Know It All" attitude and say We dont have Hercules4000 Bench Press Machine like "They" do.
