So in other words you're saying that other coaches realize how dumb the jsu's athletic dept is? It makes sense though given jsu's track record for hiring coaches. Too n tin, 300k for 80 year olds with losing records, now a guy who coached for 31 years and has zero head coach experience. Of course you wouldn't wanna hire a coach with a winning record, a SWAC Championship, and constantly whips y'all arse. That would be too smart for y'all.

Word is they flew in Lovie Smith on yesterday evening and he's flying back now to make it on time for his game this afternoon. Negotiations went well from what I'm hearing.
 
All of this would be mildly entertaining if the new coaches name hadn't been floating for weeks.
 
What j state fans dont realize if u pay a coach thee amount u paid Coach Mudbone hell i would throw my name in the hat for this position. J state yall are yall on worst enemy!!

Bruh stop. Half of your own fans don't want worm. I can promise you we didn't call worm. It is simple math, Jackson was making 90k more and worm saw an opp for a raise. Any coach not an alumni would have done same thing.

Getting kids in Mississippi to Jackson shouldn't be hard at all.... Its the only inner city in the entire state. These country kids don't want to live in the country all their lives. If I grew up in the country of Mississippi and had to go to school in Mississippi, then JSU would be the only option I would even entertain.

The key word is shouldn't. Kids (blue chip) are leaving Mississippi going to school. It's too easily said, than done. It's a hard sale if a kid wants to play FBS football, even if that kid is a country boy.
