Is there a chance Alcorn's Hopson could leave for ULM?

Let me tell you why, based on the current status of Grambling State University's lack of support for the football program:

1. The administration has yet to appoint an experienced and proven Athletic Director whom can effectively negotiate contracts and secure corporate sponsorships that will maximize income for out of conference games, secure funding for facility improvements and upgrades and who can sell the Grambling State University Football brand to corporate america.

2. Lack of funding for recruiting. Did you know that the assistant coaches are using their personal funds for travel expenses in efforts to recruit and sign 4 and 5 star athletes? There is a $10,000 minimum recruiting budget that is needed immediately to secure some of the top recruits nationwide!

3. The GSU Sports Complex is in severe need of external and internal repairs, improvements and upgrades immediately! Our facilities are not up to par. Most top high school recruits play and train in elite stadiums and practice facilities currently! This effects recruiting and our current players.

4. Did you know that the assistant coaches have to cut the grass on the practice field to insure that the players have a safe practice space? No legitimate football program assistant coaches have to shoulder this responsibility!

5. Did you know that the team needs practice, training and game equipment, benches, hydration and protein drink products for on and off season conditioning? Coach Fobbs and staff has done a tremendous job returning the football program to a winning and competitive status with minimal resources.

With proper funding and administrative support, Coach Fobbs will no doubt deliver a second to none football program! The aforementioned concerns are request Coach Broderick Fobbs and should be mandatory for any person that operates as head football coach!

The GSU administration not recognizing and/or not prioritizing these basic needs to operate and effectively run a competitive football program will induce Coach Fobbs to consider other opportunities at other institutions that provide adequate support, facilities and administrative advocates.

People don't interview if there is no personal interest lol. The OC @ ArkSt. Viator @ McN. et al, I'm sure. I'd like to see that list of applications. IMHO, that ULM job is ripe for someone to come in and do some great things @ the FBS level. That's the smack dab middle of hotbed recruiting, imho. ::read::

Sometimes you interview just to see if it "really is not THAT bad..." clearly it was..

Maybe that's what mentally unsound people like you do. You're married, right? Will you interview another potential mate while you're still married? Most sound people interview for betterdom/biggerdom/et al factors that satisfy "self."

Hopson is "married" to Alcorn and interviewed, right? Like a lot of other "married" coaches.

I thought you claimed to be one of the smart ones.....

Yeah, they ALL say that until they're either in Arkansas calling hogs (Petrino after Falcons), in BAMA yelling Roll Tide(Saban after Miami), or in Monroe yelling War Eagle or something. And I know these guys left NFL for college again, but my point is ALL coaches say that until they dip and show up wearing that other school colors and having a press conference.

+1 I only attempted to speak to the underlying mental aspect related to the fabric of commitment but I forgot where I was posting & the "fans" who could respond lol. We need a HBCUSportsDeux, so those of us who are not "fans" & understand commitment can post our thoughts.
