He is right. Went to TU/UNA game. I been to many TDC in years past. I have been to a playoff game in following friends & relatives of both Universities and the playoffs are more on a national stage than TDC. Had a good time at both too. So long to the TDC on Thanksgiving Day.

It does not matter to me if the game was televised or not. I notice that it is the ASU grads who are so wrapped up in when this TDC is played and the opponent. Playoffs are governed by NCAA and on national stage. I heard the attendance in Carrollton GA was 9,011. The teams in the playoffs aim to keep winning to play for NCAA National Championship. Recruits know more about the playoffs than a TDC on Thanksgiving Day.

Wait a minute.....so the playoffs are not televised and the attendance is lower than the TDC. So how exactly is it on more of a national stage than the TDC.

Wait a minute....just say you are a div 2 head football coach. You can tell a potential recruit that he can work hard to play on national stage for a NCAA National Championship. Also, ask the recruit if he would rather play for a national div 2 Championship OR play in Ala. State University homecoming TDC? The recruit would say a national championship every time. TU grads told me in Florence that they aren't looking back at TDC and be thankful you can play them Sept.2017. End of story...

You posted all this and still failed to answer my question. If a TU player/recruit likes the playoffs more than the TDC then that's cool but don't come on here posting BS and expect not to be called out on it.
 
So streaming on Livestream via the NCAA website (with no promotion) is a national stage now? Even the 2nd round of the FCS playoffs were all streamed via ESPN3 versus the SCG landing on ESPNU (and the Celebration Bowl being on ABC) so who is really winning? Sure as hell ain't those D2 or FCS playoff teams (that were complaining to ESPN about ESPN promoting the SCG highlights but not the FCS playoffs).

Nope! Not at all. I said all I have to say on the subject. TDC on Thanksgiving Day is no more. Both Universities have made changes to best fit them. Dr. Boyd moved TDC from Thanksgiving Day to the weekend before the holiday. TU has moved on to the playoffs. That's the end of that story.
 
Bruh, neither of these Universities are my alam mater. Therefore, I am not having a nervous breakdown on this forum why the TDC is better than the div 2 playoffs and vice versa. I just like sports and enjoy all sports at different levels no matter div 2, D-1A/AA,etc. I could care less if the 2 s books never cross paths again. The game was not on ESPNU but heavily talked about on social media among different athletic forums about TU getting good exposure. Onward & upward to these great HBCUs.
