A&M struggling with South Carolina 21-21 at home. With all the talk about Charlie Strong's job security, Kevin Sumlin has to be one of the biggest frauds in college football. He put together a couple of good seasons at UH with Art Briles' recruits but aside from that one Alabama upset with Johnny Football, A&M has been mediocre as usual.

Sumlin will need help from John Chavos to fix the defense. If Charlie Strong gets Texas back to the top, recruiting will get tougher for A&M if it has not already.

The ACC has 4 teams undefeated in conference (Houston, Memphis, Temple, Navy) with Navy only having 1 loss on the seasons. Memphis could possibly make it interesting for the playoffs (doubt that biased playoff committee would select them tho). Temple has to beat Notre Dame to have any chance.

Ummm that's the AAC (American Athletic Conference) not ACC

Glad to see one of my teams actually has good coaching on defense. This win pretty much assures Florida of a trip to Atlanta for the SEC Championship Game. Not bad for year 1 of the McElwain era. Need to win out to make the playoffs.
 
Am I the only one that thinks No.10 Iowa (8-0) is a big pretender? Their best win is a 10-6 win over Wisconsin. They don't play any of the good Big 10 teams.

Well the defense has "improved" ...its the offense that is crap. I think Sumlin is smoke and mirrors. he's an excellent recruiter when it comes to landing the flashy skill players but without the all-American/pro o-line that Sherman recruited, he's being exposed. He's probably safe since A&M has low standards when it comes to football.

Meanwhile, Texas gets shut out by Iowa State 24-0. Suddenly that OU win has been forgotten and Charlie's seat is hotter than ever.
