Prairie View A&M's Offense....

SU will never have 6 fumbles and all those fluky things happen in a game again. We kicking that azz next season

You said you were going to do that this year tho'
Next year, I'm not sure about that one, coach is finding us some new talent as we speak and with spring ball next year and the system already in place, I wouldn't guarantee an SU win at PV in 2016, not happening buddy

Man why do y'all even entertain these folks? You know they don't actually follow SWAC football. They just circle jerk about the fabled "big 3". You know they don't realize that for the past couple of seasons the only way they've been able to beat aPVm is by running up a basketball score on our lacking defense because our offense scores like a machine. All they remember is they won which slowly morphs into we kicked their arse in a few months. Nevermind the 40-50 points we may have hung on them.

I mean look at the stupid crap they talking.. "all you got is Hebert". Wasn't there 3 different cats running over them last season? They don't remember because they too busy circle jerkin. To busy tuggin to notice Pitre. I thought "Green couldn't do nothing but run" but now the offense is Hebert they say. Didn't Smiley damn near out gain an entire opposing team in yards in only 3 quarters one time? "If we would have did this that and the other it would have been a blowout". Bullshit. Their teams haven't done this that and the other in like 3 seasons because they can't. If they could they would have by now.

Averaging 40+ points a game but it ain't impressive. GTFOH... Their defenses magically stop everybody else then just lay down for aPVm... Riiiiiight. If you want to see sorry D just look at ours. Their teams score on blown everything. Receivers laughing down the field uncovered. Running backs running right past defenders that don't even see that they have the ball. Their defenses don't blow it like that. Our offense just makes it look like they do.

Truth is if PV had even just a decent defense it would only be by the grace of Orlando/Simmons that some of these games wouldn't look like child abuse. And this isn't even what the team could be by a long shot. Time to stop being modest fellow Panthers and call it like it is. Watching the OOC games since NM State and the beating of SFA (how much you wanna bet at least half of these folks don't realize that happened), scaring the crap out of TxSt and other showings I'm EXPECTING aPVm to knock off a low hanging FBS team. If we could just get better than a middle school defense the SWAC currently wouldn't even be a challenge. The numbers clearly show that.

It's not everybody here caught in the circle jerk though. Some folks get it.

Plus all the bad calls that happened in that game smh, I didn't realize it was that bad, until they showed multiple critical calls on the news last night, all went in PV favor, they were blantnent. Their lineman were holding, no calls. They were grabbing SU WR's on every play, especially Willie, no call. The critical 3rd and long, PV WR caught the ball out of bounds, both feet landed out, it was ruled a catch. The possession where SU didn't score from the 1, Crockett fumbled and recovered his fumble in the Endzone, but the refs spotted the ball back at the 1. It was several others that they showed. They sent the tape in. Hopefully that crew never calls a SU game again. Isn't that women ref a PV grad smh.

After further review, Dawson Odums sees the SWAC officials’ mistakes — and plenty more from his own team

Advocate staff photo by HILARY SCHEINUK -- Southern coach Dawson Odums talks on the field during with defensive lineman Gabe Echols during a timeout against Prairie View on Saturday.
BY MIKE GEGENHEIMER| SPECIAL TO THE ADVOCATE
For Southern to move forward into this weekend’s game against Texas Southern, they’ll first have to look back to last Saturday’s loss to Prairie View — starting with the officials.

Southern coach Dawson Odums sent several clips from the Jaguars’ most recent game to be reviewed by the Southwestern Athletic Conference office — including a crucial goal-line spot that cost Southern a touchdown.

“We mailed in several clips to the conference office that clearly could have changed the outcome of the game, but you don’t have replay, so you have to live with the calls of the officials,” Odums said at his weekly news conference. “But then when we come back in and watch the film, you can clearly see there were some mistakes made. That’s human error.”

The first clip the Jaguars sent, Odums said, was when Malcolm Crockett fumbled at the goal line just before half time. Odums argued the recovery in the end zone should have been ruled a touchdown, but officials instead spotted the ball at the 1. The Jaguars were stuffed on the ensuing fourth-down attempt.

The second clip was of Prairie View receiver KhaDarel Hodge’s third-down reception on the Panthers’ final drive of the game. Odums contested that Hodge was out of bounds, which would have most likely forced a field-goal attempt to put Southern down seven points, 43-36, with about two minutes to play.

Translation of Odums: Please don't fire my azz for losing homecoming.

Again... circle jerkin. aPVm didn't have spring practice with a total coach and system change. If anything the playing field was level. If they need to blame somebody it needs to be whoever didn't fight to try to keep from playing aPVm for homecoming. If they weren't so busy circle jerkin they'd have realized that the offense is rarely stopped and you've got to be able to keep up in a shootout. No all they can do is bullshit about how they ain't impressed and the refs screwed em.

Here we go with the excuses, y'all were the home team and LOST
I saw plenty of holding from SU that wasn't called, I saw missed calls in the game we LOST to GSU but the refs are human and missed called both ways in both games, missed calls are part of the game especially the SWAC. If we want to replay every call and non call it would probably favor the home team. What did PV have to do with the refs? We have the same bad officiating in all our SWAC games I'm sure you have WON some games where the officiating was in you favor

Do you think this holding was called?

Or this holding?

Miss me with that after the game whining you LOST homecoming, if human error occurred it happened just like every other game in America. Just hope that dude that threw 7 TDs last week don't hand you a second loss

Lawd...smh The excuses though. I saw those wonderful pics of SU holding PVAMU & all I could think was look at all the negative adversity PVAMU had to endure to win. Playing cheater U & blind refs.

I'm sure a lot of holding calls were missed on BOTH sides.... but ummm neither of these are holding, based on the position of hands and the defenders.

But I agree with you. I think "missed" holding calls are lame excuses. We lost because of our own mistakes, especially the lack of attention to #3.

Teams lose because of poor execution, lack of preparation, and poor coaching decisions. We lost to Bethune Cookman because we failed to execute on defense which forced our offense to work too damn hard. We allowed PV to stay in the game because of our defense forcing our offense to work too hard. We almost lost to Alcorn because of our coach's decision to abandon the run. Yet, we won because of halftime adjustments and the player's ability to execute.

All this refs forgot to call and the biggest excuse "we beat ourselves" I really don't like. I think the verbiage of losing teams should change.

Fans of all people saying coaches shouldn't question whether certain officiating decisions had a disproportionate impact on a game is the funniest thing l've read all day.

Yep, as much as they bitch about cheating on their game threads. I blame Bandfan for the cheating, his yellow azz and something to do with it lmao.

Another GROWN person talking^^^^^^^ and he's right PV lost based on execution and som e coaching decisions also, but mainly execution not paying attention to Carter and Rogers mostly not refs

People don't want to hear what is obvious. Some of the folks here are so blinded by their pride that they can't see the forest for the trees.

It's just that most fans, including everyone who consistently post on this board, often are irrational and lack perspective when it comes to their teams and sports in general, which is why it's sorta hypocritical to say a coach shouldn't bitch about officiating when that's all fans do.

What PV grad was allowed to ref in this game?

Come on with the lies.......
Yvonda Lewis is the PV grad... she didn't work the SU-PV game.

Sebrina Brunson worked the game and she is a Florida grad. She is also the first (and only) woman to officiate an SEC game (this season).

But jagtilhedead said we brought an all PV-grad ref crew to SU's homecoming and cheated you all, at your home, for your homecoming game.

(start laughing your ass off here----------> ) This is so sad. :(
