No... item "g" in the 3-way tie scenario is only to eliminate the 3rd team. After yall are eliminated (-16 vs Gram), we'd win the tie-breaker against Gram due to head to head.

You still have to win a certain margin for that to even happen.. Our point differential is (+5) against yall...

But if SU wins against Gram even by 1 point... PV would have the biggest point deficit with the -16 point loss and +5 point win.

PV = -16+5 = -11
SU = -5+1(example) = -4
GSU = +16-1 = +15

PV would be eliminated.... then it goes to head-to-head. You need Gram to lose 2 times in order to get in. If Gram loses to us + another team, yall win the tie-breaker if you win out.

Of course all of this depends on if the SWAC has not/does not change the tie breaker rule from 2013.

Thanks for breaking it down... So the spread for Southern is actually (-11) assuming Southern and PV win out... You have to win by 12 or more.. Right now you're down 11 due to Grambling beating us by 16 and us beating Southern by 5... A 10-point win is not going to cover those 11 points that you're missing to create a two team tiebreaker.

We are not down anything related to your loss to Grambling because we have not played Gram yet. LOL

Not to the point where anybody should be concerned just yet. You beat us by 5 points but lost to Gram by 16. If points is a tie breaker, It means we really probably only need to beat Gram by 6 points. We are not in the hole you dug from losing to Gram by that amount. It just means you needed to beat SU badly. At the end of the day if they look at point differential and you lost to Gram by 16 and beat us by 5 and say we beat Gram say by a touchdown. It would mean we beat Gram worse than you beat us since all of us would have lost to each other. That 16 point loss to Gram hurts yall more than our 5 point loss to you. That would be the ugly defeat in the tiebreaker. Gram is the only one who has this under control. What you need to happen is Alcorn beats SU and SU beats Gram to open the door wide open for you to walk into the SCG. That is, if you beat Alcorn as well. Our games with Alcorn will tell the tell. If both of us beat Alcorn then it will be on for the BC. If both of us lose to Alcorn. Then it is over for both of us if Gram keeps on winning. Even a BC Loss would not help.

And to a point how I was trying to say if it came down to a possible 3 way tie and the NCAA asked if PV would be available for the playoffs is to say YES and if they are chosen for a at large spot you would eliminate the 3 way tie and let the winner of the BC represent the West. You would have the best of both worlds by still having a top team from the west in the SCG & another in the FCS playoffs.

Right now, PV's only chance is: a) Grambling lose 2 conference games (not gonna happen) or b) a 3 way tie.

I can roll with that, I said at the start that GSU was set up to win it all, they beat us fair and square. GSU made more plays than PV and that is the story unlike other folks who can't claim any defeats, no if's for us, we lost that game. I'm still happy where we are based off what Panthro said above

08-12 was a serious rebuilding period for SU and you know it. Just look at the records during those seasons compared to the years prior to that. 6-5, 6-5, 2-9, 4-7, 4-7.

I mean despite PV's offensive production, good ball security by our players leads us to a victory. The team knows they fumbeled that game away and will hopefully come back focused for the rest of the season. All they have to do is win out.

I've read where SU made mistakes that MAY have cost points. But those are big if's. A dropped pass in the endzone would have been a touchdown. But some others are questionable. Who's to say if the punter had punted, PV may have scored a few minutes later anyway....especially on 3rd down.

Congrats to the winners. Winners get hyped for homecoming, not lethargic. Winners step up for big games, not makes unforced errors.
