Southern issues statement on WR Devon Gales status
Southern University wide receiver Devon Gales sustained a spinal injury during Saturday's contest against the University of Georgia in Sanford Stadium.
Gales will remain under the care of the doctors at Athens Regional until further notice.
Southern University and the Jaguar Nation asks for your continued prayers for Devon and the entire Gales family during this difficult time.

SU could have went into halftime with the lead..
That missed FG (I think we should have went for the shat myself smh)
The wide open pass Austin missed Willie Quinn on, dude had the middle wide ass open that was an auto 6 there, but he picked the wrong time to throw the dayum behind Willie, man that hurt us, Willie had fuk over the LB and got free on that play too
score would have been 13-17 (or 16-17 with the made FG)
The DB #14 (that's 2 pick 6 his ass dropped, smh one against JSU) that missed the dayum tipped INT (that killed us, really) UGA put 3 on the board, but had he caught the INT he would have scored or would have gotten down to the 20 yard line of UGA putting us in scoring position to either score 7 or 3
Which would have gave us with everything going right (and it's like what I'm saying wasn't hard to do) 23-17 worse case 19-17
Just imagine that for a quick 8 seconds..
Do you know the interruption ESPN would have been doing on games around the country blasting this halftime score LMAO

As someone said, the score was expected to be 65-0 at the half. I myself was proud of our Red Zone D really. We didn't give up 7, gave up 3 on several possessions. The dropped int, would have made the half time score 17-6, and 1 late throw for Austin kept us from getting 6 but still. I couldn't ask for a better effort from my boys out there in the 1st half. They kept it respectable and the fact that we had opportunities to put points on the board. Coach Odums must have known UGA was going to go in for the kill because Mark Richt didn't play with his team in the locker room lol

I agree, and I love the "gameplan"
We kept the ball dayum near the whole 2nd quarter, I think UGA may have had 2 poss. we did a good job keeping their offense on the sideline..and we did good with short 3rd downs..
Overall I was very impressed and it also put Odums into a different light for me..(even though the shat he did in the 2nd half pissed me off) but I understand what he was doing.
I think it's time for Odums to separate himself from the rest of the coaches in this league. We by far have the best talent in the conference and it's only getting better. We should put a 50 piece on everybody we face that's on our schedule,
This game really can change the game for us...
I just hope that Odums sees this game as a game-changer, dude really can now start making his name/campaign as the best coach in FCS,

but I think alot of folks/teams can't say they could have 'actually' been leading at halftime against the #7 team, that may play of the ship
