2016 Honda Battle of the Bands
 
From that list, if JSU and TNState don't get invites, I would be surprised.

A&T didn't even submit this time. That's kinda good because after the EPIC FAIL last year, they should probably regroup.

Recycled? From what I saw from the Boom last weekend the crowd will be sleep and have to deal with the recycled tiger run. Juke shows is what they want to see as they did past January so they will be highly upset lol.

Does that dude EVER stop grandstanding. Did anyone ask him why they were not on the ballot. When JSU, Grambling, etc.. are not on the ballot, it was never a PSA released.... smh

Liddell would never put the BOOMs name on the list unless they guaranteed us a spot but he didn't make that announcement.

I don't think Little will go every year but I do think it's a good idea that he goes in his first year.

As a matter of fact yeah he was asked. No one notices when y'all are not on there because no one cares.

The Southern University Marching Band Facebook page was designed to keep fans informed on the Human Jukebox. No different from any other group, company, or musicians page on social media. The statement was made to clarify why SU was not on the ballot this year and it's intentions on a possible appearance in the future. To answer your question, yes, some fans did inquire about why they did not see SU's name on the ballot. This is the purpose of social media. What better way to address a question than to make an official statement on your official Facebook page? How is this considered grandstanding?

I am sure folks asked him TP. You don't know how SU folks are. LOL. As soon as that list came out, I bet his phone blew the fugg up. Folks used to ask Doc Greggs why he never would go. He would just say it ain't no money in it to be wasting his time to take the Juke just for show. It wasn't until Jackson came on board and elected to go. Doc would not move that band even when I marched if it didn't benefit us going.

I understand. People always asked Liddell too but he never made a PSA about it. Truth is the VERY first Honda pissed Liddell off. JSU won the popular vote coming in FIRST place. SU was not on the ballot. But the committee disregarded the public vote and invited Grambling. After that, Liddell never put the BOOMs name back on the ballot unless Honda let him know that the BOOM was going regardless of vote.

But these Jukebox announcements like someboday cares... LOL
Actually, i preferred when Liddell chose when he wanted to go. No point in going every year but I understand why Little would want to go his first year. Let's see how he handles is in coming years.

They didn't need a facebook page to announce they were not going. They were not on the list. Carry on....
