OU's Eric Striker on SEC: 'I don’t know why people blow gas up their a** all the time.

The Media loves the Big 10 yo guys just don't a good overall league...Sheesh MSU, OHio State and Wisconsin....And two of the powers struggled in week 1.. You got a title now lets see if the conf can get another one...

Didn't Auburn struggle? Wisconsin lost their best players on both sides of the ball and their head coach but played Alabama tough in the first half. Old Alabama would have blown that type of Wisconsin team out early on. Tenn allowed Bowling Green to put up 40 plus points in Knoxville. The only team that looked pretty good against a tough opponent was Texas A&M. But even then, they got to decide on who is their QB.

Right now, if Ohio State is at full strength and playing a SEC school on neutral grounds. I don't think Urban is going to be worried. The SEC QBs are going to keep them from being as dominant as they were in the past. Plus the new system is going to be harder to win than the old system. You can't just sit back for 2 months and wait to play your opponent in one game that decides it all. Now you got to game plan for 2 games early and multiple teams in this playoffs.

Every year, we deal with his irrational mess... Bama is a great program and Saban is a great coach. However, they have been physically dominated in their last two post season trips.

With LSU, Les Miles ain't sh@t as a coach. He is lucky them Nick Saban recruiting pipelines are there to save him.

That's exactlywhat he has built there. LOL

Michigan is about to become Stanford East with big RB, Big blocking TE, etc. Y'all better hope he doesn't find the next Andrew Luck.

Not worried about Harbaugh. Urban has another Black Dual Threat QB committed in Tristen Wallace from DeSoto, Tx in next year's class. He is so stacked at QB it is damn shame. I think that kid is 6'3 220. Same at Running Back and WR. So Harbaugh has his work cut out for him even in trying to get past Dantonio at Michigan State.

I do however need Michigan to get back to being Michigan so the conference can have another good team and they are capable of doing that under Harbaugh if he stays the course. Would not shock me to see him coaching Andrew Luck if the Colts don't make any progress towards the Super Bowl the next couple of years. Especially with their division being weak and the AFC being weaker overall as well.

Bruh, these SEC fans are delusional.

LOL @ Pop33. Les does questionable coaching. But that MOFO can recruit his arse off. He don't need Nick pipelines to do that. Les has a better personality and probably is more player friendly coach. So recruiting ain't his issue. LSU has a ton of talent.

I honestly think it will be Auburn that pushes Bama in the future for dominance of the SEC. They are not a consistent powerhouse but they show the ability to put together a championship caliber team every 4 years.

Les Miles will not win another Title JR,

Yeah they are. But they got spoiled with that run of championships. So we have to deal with it. LOL.
I predicted the playoffs would shake up the tree. If they expand it to 8 teams, it will really get interesting.

I won't say Harbaugh is staying 30 years, but the thought that he's gone in a couple years is pretty unfounded. He's been a college coach for all but four years and he's at his alma mater. Truth be told, he would've been the coach in 2011 had Dave Brandon wanted it.

I agree with you on Auburn. I like Malzhan as a Coach. I can't see Saban recruiting these dual threat QBs and changing what he is. A BIG TEN trained coach who is 3 yards and cloud of dust. Miles is the same way. Just like his mentor Bo. But at least he will recruit a dual threat QB. Problem with Les is he will not recruit an OC that knows how to develop those kinds of guys. Malzhan knows how to do that. If Muschamp sticks around as a DC, they will be tough. Texas A&M gets going offensively and Chavis keeps the defense playing like they did in the Arizona State game, they will be tough.

As for Les winning another title, he may not if he don't fix his passing game. He has everything else. Oh and keep his players out of trouble. LOL.

LOL. Florida will push again. Real and I mean real soon. All we needed was a bonified Offensive minded coach....Defense has been tops but couldn't get over the hump offensively...Y

I don't know man. Harbaugh is a good coach. But I think he RELUCTANTLY went back to college football. I think he enjoys being in the NFL. He just wanted control. I do not think he would pass up an opportunity to coach Andrew Luck again if the opportunity presents itself. Do not be shocked if they approach him in a couple of years if they have not made any more progress. Pressure is on the coach now because they won a playoff game and got to the AFC Championship last year beating Manning on the way. So I give him 2 more playoffs chances to get to the SB before folks get anxious. Plus Harbaugh is a former Colt too. LOL. So he is familiar with the QB and organization. So just say you heard it hear first from JR. Actually a lot of the talking heads have said it too. LOL.

I like Florida's coach. He is definitely better than Muschamp was.

Would those be the same talking heads that were adamant about him having no interest in the Michigan job? Do I see NFL teams making a run at him? If course, because that's what pro teams do. Of course, making a run and succeeding are two different things.

As far as reluctance goes, everything I've seen and heard suggests the opposite. Let's not forget he willingly turned down what the school offered contract wise to sign for less (not that he still isn't very well paid). If he truly wanted to be in the NFL right now he would be.

I beg to differ. There were no good jobs to take when he was not retained by the 49ers. So he took a step back and if he turns Michigan around he will potentially be in line for a better coaching job in the NFL. Also he has been poisoned in the League by the GM and Owner so no one wanted that headache right now...

I think there were not any good jobs in the NFL that interested him once the Niners and him parted ways. Harbaugh is a smart man. He at least wants to walk into a NFL situation where he has some say so and probably one with some upside. I can't remember who all got fired last year. Denver already knew they wanted Kubiak when they let Fox go. But Harbaugh was already gone to Michigan. Chicago was a mess and I can't see him and Cutler getting along. Those may have been the best 2 jobs open last year. Buffalo had good defensive talent. But no QB. That would have been the only other job I can see that would have been somewhat attractive. The Jets were a mess and Harbaugh don't need to go no where near the NY Media. LOL. At this stage Harbaugh is looking for control. At least at Michigan he had somebody who wanted him and would let him run the program his way. But it just didn't look like he was overly enthused about going until he had no choice.

I am just saying if I was a betting man and Indy comes a calling in couple of years. It would not shock me to see him jump all over that. That's the one NFL team Michigan folks should be rooting for to WIN and WIN big to not need a coach. Because I think Luck could persuade him to come coach him.

That sounds like standard NFL media speak. In fact, it was the same spin that came out after those guys spent weeks arguing that any NFL job is better than a college job. It wasn't like the 49ers were a model franchise when Harbaugh took over.

It was pretty common knowledge last season that Harbaugh and the Niners were parting ways. It's not like teams were caught unaware. Let's not pretend that teams weren't putting out feelers during the season. This whole Harbaugh had no other option than the Michigan job is revisionist.

But like some said, I think the Niners did some damage to his image to keep him from have too many options. Plus of all the teams that fired their coaches when Harbaugh left. I don't know if Harbaugh was interested in any of those gigs at the end of the season. The best job to come open was Denver. But they fired Fox after the playoffs. Harbaugh was already gone Michigan and on the recruiting trail. I don't think Denver thought going into the playoffs that they would get booted out by Indy and have to fire Fox. LOL. The rest of the open gigs were not all that great. Not like the Giants job came open or some other good organization.

All I am saying is just keep an eye on that Indy job if they underachieve these next 2 seasons. Harbaugh probably is not interested in just any ole NFL gig just to come back to the NFL and I don't blame him. Even the Niner gig was an easy move from Stanford. Just a short drive. LOL. I just think that Indy job is one job that he would leave Michigan for to Coach Luck if it came open. We all know he could run the franchise because Irsay stay on that sauce too much to pay attention to what's going on. LOL.

Man, Half of Harbaugh's players are in jail or have been indicted. I liked Harbaugh as a coach but my biggest complaint about his teams consistently has been a lack of discipline. That is why he never won a SB.

Okay so when they win 6 or seven titles or even go back to back in the coming years we can talk. The SEC has 9 from the old Era, FSU got one now Ohio State. So the ACC or the BIG will need to go on a run in the current system to stake a claim...Oklahoma...LOL please...
And not let it be just one team winning all of the titles. When was the last time an ACC team not named Florida State won the national title?(Miami doesn't count because they were in the Big East then) When was the last time a Big 10 team not named Ohio State won a national title? When was the last time a Pac-12 team not named USC won the national title? It's been 10 seasons since the last Big 12 title, and they've only won 2 the past 20 years.

Meanwhile during the BCS era, you've seen Tennessee, LSU(2 times), Florida (2 times), Auburn, and Alabama (3 times) win the national title.

LOL. Florida will push again. Real and I mean real soon. All we needed was a bonified Offensive minded coach....Defense has been tops but couldn't get over the hump offensively...Y
Hopefully Jeremy Foley understands that now.

Offensive-minded Spurrier= SEC Dominance, a national title
Defensive-minded Zook= Mediocre program with no chance at challenging for a title
Offensive-minded Meyer= 2 national titles,16-2 record against FSU,Georgia, and Tennessee, and a Heisman-Trophy winner
Defensive-minded Muschamp=Mediocre program with no chance at winning a title
Offensive-minded McElwain=????????

Now Ohio State is coming South to recruit SEC players. Anyway Oklahoma can take care of Tennessee they are not that great right now. and Vanderbilt is atrocious.

Oklahoma had better not keep consistently getting their heads handed to them in bowl games. They need to figure out that problem. Some of the defeats were to underdogs. Some were at the hands of SEC schools.

They may win today. They may not. We do not know how good Tennessee is yet. They need to be concerned with their opponent today. They need to be concerned about competing and eventually winning in the bowl game. They also need to be concerned about the Big 12. Right Baylor and TCU are expected to be at the top.
