Meet The School With The Worst Non-Conference Schedule In Black College Football

Tell the big 10 schools that.
Just common sense. You football brand and image dont improve by playing schools that the top 5 mississippi high schools can beat. Lol
I ain't got to tell the big 10 it. I watched William&Mary, Northern Iowa and Appalachian State beat Big 10 teams. The SEC is the best conference in football and continues to dish out the big bucks to FCSprograms. Nobody bashed Alabama for stopping Chattanooga before winning the BCS National Championship Game.

At the end of the day, these players don't get paid and don't get preseason games. If Georgia can play Southern University, then Southern University can play Lane. If #15 Oklahoma State can play Grambling, then Grambling can play Langston. When PV was trying to change the culture of their football program after countless years of losing, nobody could tell their administration that they couldn't schedule Paul Quinn for a game.

When these kids start getting paid and not treated like NCAA slaves, then I will beg for better match ups every week. Until then, win the SWAC title.

Hey Herbert, I guess we know what you are going to be doing that weeekend

Right.
schedule slippery rock highschool next year. You can not only pad your win/loss record but your skill players can get record highs for the season in one game.

I laughed when I heard some people bragging about JSU beating Virginia Lynchburg to death. I didnt even count that game, didn't bother driving to the stadium to see that crap last year and I am only 1 mile away from memorial. Lol

As for being slaves.
Nobody is stopping your school from paying your athletes under the new "pay allowance" scales. That is on you and your fellow alums.

sTu is the member that has the longest football no championship streak set now at 49 or 50 years. I think they should tear their football house down and build it back up. I think an 8 year plan might work. Their goal should be to win a NAIA and D-3 championship within 5 years, then move up to D-2 for the last 3 years. They can then petition the SWAC for football membership when the 8 years elapse and the COPS will take it under advisement.

Real talk. We need to STOP equating playing collegiate athletics to chattel slavery. It's not like Jackson State's going to sell Ivy's family off to different plantations if he throws 2 INTs in a game. Nobody's going to rape John Gibbs Jr.'s sister in front of him while he stands there powerless to do something. They're not going to beat Lenard Tillery to near-death because he fumbled the ball.

So please, let's stop equating "unfair" business relationships to chattel slavery.

If we win 8 conference games plus the other 2 will we be allowed to play in the Celebration Bowl?

You all winning 8 conference games is an extreme hypothetical situation. It's possible but highly improbable. However, unfortunately I don't think you all are able to play in the SCG this year (not completely sure why).

Like I said, this isn't the NFL. There is nothing wrong with scheduling lesser teams. The SWAC is not competing for National Championships or even FCS playoffs status. I watched Grambling destroy Concordia and dominate the SWAC conference in the same season. I wasn't a fan of playing Concordia, but so what. The G-Men dominated the SWAC that year. Nobody could tell the G-Men anything about scheduling an easy opponent that season because they closed everyone's mouth on gameday.

The SWAC doesn't need to mettle in scheduling. Schools should choose their own destiny. One could say that SWAC schools should play money games against FBS schools because it puts our lesser depth charted programs 1 game closer to injuries. However, every school should make their own choices.

This is such an asinine comment, but one that's typical of a delusional self haters. TSU just placed a close second in the commissioner's cup standing which means jsu should self impose the death penalty since it came in behind a NAIA institution. jsu should give up the university in it's name and embrace the title of community college. Get you finances together and reapply for accreditation as a university in 10 years.

Three seasons ago we lost two QBs, a defensive lineman and a tight end in a game against North Texas

JSU?? LOL accreditation problems...LOL

This has gone on far enough. Who's winning?

Bacone College is playing the SLC's Lamar University in week #1 in their revamped football stadium.
BC is playing our SWAC brethren sTu in week #2 in state of the art Dynamo stadium.
BC is playing Angelo St in AT&T Stadium-Arlington, Tx, the same AT&T Stadium that NO SWAC school will sniff anytime soon.

PVAMU hasn't finalized its 2016 schedule. I wonder who PVAMU will invite to its new state of the art stadium OOC?

JSU is better off than sTu..

jsu still in Mississippi? Well then hell you just never know. From what I hear the whole damn state is in trouble, which means trouble for jsu too. Just hold tight, you so headupyourbacksided you can't see past Lynch St. Good ole MS got some decisions to make, coming to you soon. How is that state budget looking?
