JSU vs PVAMU BOTB?





The BOTB between JSU and PV will be held at a location in Houston yet to be determined. There will also be one between JSU and Alcorn in the AAC. So.....

As of this morning 4:45am PT. Over all the Band is around 270. Of That number 230 or so are wind instruments. In that number we have 48 Bones, 28-32 BTones, 26-28 Mellows, that's all I have to say for now
 
Will the Boom DRILL mostly everybody on the field this time???? I can see having atleast having 10-15 etc. members left in the stands,keeps band memebers in the show sharp or they can be zipped by challange...but...the drill should be desinged for atleast 90% of the band on the field. & for the extras that make the show...get them off the side lines...chart drill for all,I always hate to see members marching on the sideline waiting to get in the show. I love everything else about the BOOM!!!!! lol.

I thought those on the sidelines were alternates waiting for an opportunity to get on the field.

Grambling St alumni host a Saturday morning BOTB (HSs) as a fundraiser. So, I don't think that would work the night before. I could be wrong so someone correct me if so.

It don't take High School students to fill up a battle of the bands lol. There is a band culture in Louisiana.

Only because he is old and had the experience over the younger PhDs in the department. He is only there as a favor from the QUEEN. He is pretty much hands off with the BOOM.... Last year, he was just in charge of calling the bus.... LOL

this will be during the high school playoffs so I'm sure most bands will be done here in Texas as well
