Jackson State's history far surpasses su's history and the SWAC didn't start in 1999 like you want it to.
su was in the SWAC 20 years before JSU and only has one more title than JSU. Imagine if JSU was in the SWAC the same time as su. We'd be 10 titles ahead of them based on the numbers.

Please jsu has 15 swac championships vs SU 19 swac championships. Please after we beat the mess out of yall in 1929. SU 98- j state 0 yall avoided us for almost thirty years. So stop trying to give me history, you cant teach me nothin especially from j state.

I talked to Gibbs Dad after the SU game in BR a couple years ago. Good folks. He was actually more interested in SU than staying home since he had HS team mates on our team. I don't think PV recruited him at all. Not sure about TxSU.
 
Why would we avoid at team that at one we beat almost 20 straight times before Pete came on the scene? Go tell that nonsense to somebody else.
su had a 20 year headstart on both Jackson State and Grambling yet since both of us have been in the SWAC, we have more football titles, NFL players and Hall of Famers than su.
As far as outright football championships (no ties), Jackson State has 12 and su has 12.

He doesn't fit SU's system at all.
 
Geez louise. The season is just right around the corner and the history majors are in full effect touting yesteryears as if they happened 2 minutes ago and actually have a bearing on what occurs in the next 30 days. lmao! Wow. lol :D

With fans it does and the players and coaches know this.
The lasting aura of it does. The passion does. The expectations are the same or even higher now than it's been in the past with some. If there was no strong history, there'd be no strong present-day expectations.

JSU joined the SWAC 40 years after you. The 1929 game was not a conference game.
 
After JSU and Grambling joined the SWAC, su didn't win another outright title for the next 30 years. Now let that sink in....deeply.

Yea true, but j state wasnt ready to join the swac. Getting beat that bad by Southern Cats back then made j state hesitate of playing them the next season etc.. In 1934 when Southern Cats joined the swac j state was still wasnt ready for us. Yall j state people every stop to think about what if we (J state people ) played us (Southern) between 1930-1957? Man!! J state football program would not have the championships yall have today. Think about it we have the head to head matchup, just imagine if j state played southern from 1930-1957 it would b alot to a little. Look at the first 15 matchups between SU vs jsu dominated by THE CATS!! So just imagine in between 1930-1957 and ask yourselves " What would we be if we played Southern in between those years"? Remember u reap what u sow.

Only thing j state has over us is more guys to the nfl thats it.

Dude, you make no sense. You're just guessing based off of a game no one has a record about. Fact of the matter is that when JSU and Grambling joined the SWAC, su didn't win an outright SWAC title for the next THIRTY years.
Going THIRTY years without an outright title in football should automatically disqualify you from being one of the elite football programs in the SWAC.

Yea u dont have record u just dont wanna know. Its on wikipedia if u want to research it. Yall avoided us for almost thirty years and yall sticking yall chest out. Smh, history will repeat itself and i promise u j state is in for trick not a treat. Plus yall b waiting another ten years before yall win another championship. O yea Grambling took a little break too from us back then to regroup. J state cowards!
