Montgomery Advertiser suing Bama state, insinuates recent cheating?

I am familiar with the burden of proof for defamation. What I thought was just that JaySBlue was saying that the allegations against Bama State were true just because someone made them, and he was asking Bama State posters to prove the allegations to be false. In context, it is proper for Bama State posters to deny the allegations and ask have the accuser to prove the truth of them. If false allegations are made and Bama State sues for defamation, then the burden falls on Bama State to prove reckless disregard for the truth (unless the false allegation is made about someone at Bama State who is not held to be a public person or public official; that person would not have to prove reckless disregard of the facts).

True,

Also, Alabama State hiding behind FERPA isn't a new practice for colleges and universities. A lot of schools try to hide behind FERPA behind things that have absolutely nothing to do with a student's academic record.

But if the larger schools in Alabama give the paper the information with no problem, but Bama State hides behind FERPA ... red flags fly up.

The same individuals that brought the Jenkins allegations to Josh Moon and the Montgomery Advertiser had previously shopped them to the Daytona/Orlando media. They refused to publish the allegations but the Advertiser did. That should tell you something about Jenkins tenure at BCU. BTW, BCU reported the allegations to the NCAA. I'm not aware of a finding being release. Jenkins told me he had no concerns about the allegations and he broke no rules. That's all we can go on until there is document proof of wrong doing. He and his staff is working hard recruiting and planning for the season. Season ticket sales are going well and Hornet fans are excited about the upcoming football season.

Cool. Thanks for answering like an adult. I guess yall jus gone have to wait and see. Regardless, I hope positive things come out of all this and lessons are learned no matter what was said or done. Good luck this season.

Dude please. You get on here going on all these crazy rants asking stupid questions like this that everybody knows the answer to. Not only did Bama hire a coach that has a bad history, they have a bad history of cheating and being in the media for bad things moreso than any HBCU lately. You can get on here and rant all you want to take up for you school but it still won't change how wrong yall are or always have been. How bout yall actually learn to grow up, be adults, and do the right thing for once. If yall don't agree with nothing Moon says or does get off yall sorry tails and do somethin about it so that yall don't give him no choice but to write about something good or not at all and yall won't be in the spotlight for negative stuff. Yall don't have to always do the wrong thing, yall just choose to, then look crazy in the end and get upset at everybody else cuz yall forgot to take yalls trash out. It makes no sense. You and I both know that. You could be one of the people trying to figure out ways to help out or make some kind of difference instead of whining bout what we are saying and talkin about on a social media forum. If it was any other school in the SWAC, folks would still be talkin ish but since yall in the media so much with this same person yall put yourselves out there. We ain't the ones you need to be mad or throwing all these questions at. Smh. That man just doin his job like any other reporter that's near HBCUs as stated earlier. Drama sells and gets the most attention and that's exactly what yall keep dishing out.
One thing I've rarely been accused of is asking stupid questions or making stupid comments. So, i'll let that record speak for itself. I asked you simple questions that YOU can not answer. Anyone can make accusations, IF you choose to ride that train, then be prepared to be called on it. I will always call you on it. AND if/when you produce evidence to support your crap, then I'll give you props and accept it. But don't come at me with "stupid", cause I don't do stupid. And don't come at me about what "we" can do to help change real issues at our schools cause I'm involved with creating change best I know how, and as my time and dollars permit. I keep it real. When negative crap is true, I make phone calls and statements on social media and directly to those involved. When its simply crap, I call those out who made the allegations. That's my job as a supporter of my university, not just someone who has a mouth and a tongue.

I never said that. With the mindset of people we tend to believe most things we see published til proven otherwise. You KNOW this so don't even act like you ain't know what I was talkin about.
I give you credit here. We tend to believe what is published and printed. Hence.. ..It's very important for our universities to create and tell on own narrative to the stories and make sure the truth is out there. It's not always about "legal" but about perception. We at ASU do not do a good enough job controlling the narrative OR getting the correct info out there BEFORE the narrative has been set by someone else. Once the narrative is set, the response gets little merit. We MUST get in front of the stories. All HBCU's must do this. NOW, the fact that we do not do a good job of controlling a narrative DOES NOT mean that we have a history of cheating OR that we hired a cheating coach. We have not had any guilt for cheating since 2001. We have been found to hve minor infractions that garned no sanctions. That happens at Bama and Auburn and Miss State every year. Not a story.

Dude, I asked questions too that weren't answered so sit wit all that lol. But it doesn't matter cuz it's over and done with and I wished yall luck on a good season and will continue to wish yall luck. Moving on.

. Jenkins told me he had no concerns about the allegations and he broke no rules.

At Media Day in 2003, I heard the Cole Brothers tell Doug Williams the same thing as they were walking into the bathroom. So what he says does not mean shat. What we see is that all indications is that Jenkins is a cheater and you will be getting into MORE trouble...

Does anyone know if the NCAA responded to BCU? He seems very obvious that Jenkins had to get out of Daytona!
