The games aint the problem. Booking plane tickets to go to games is because they def aren't as cheap and also non-refundable.

Going to the games is cool cuz I feel we should all support our HBCUs but in reality, that aint happening if certain schools don't go to these games which is why i said what i said.

There is reason Southwest Airlines is kicking ass right now. I wish we could have kept them in Jackson, MS.

Southwest just had a three-day sale last week.

JaySBlue,

Your exact mentality is why the SCG had to be moved from Birmingham to Houston. So what if Alcorn is not in it. I'm still going to go have me a good time in Houston or Atlanta (and on a budget too).

That time slot is no different the the time slot for the Gator, Outback, and Capital One bowl games. Their games were always early.

You been to the Houston SCG before? It ain't about who is in it! lol
Just go and you will see what I mean... LOL

Yep 2013 and had a nice time, even lived in Houston for a while before that so I get what you are sayin which is beside my point.

I was jus speakin on him buyin plane tickets to go see Alcorn when he don't even know if they're goin or not, don't know how you missed that when you are one of the people that always has somethin to say about every little thing concerned with other schools in the SWAC, but I digress.

Anyway, I'm gone be a positive supporter of the SWAC regardless whether I attend these games or not.

Game starts at 11am folks. That don't mean yall wait until 10:00-10:30 and 11:00 to leave your hotels. Otherwise you'll be on the outside of the stadium during the beginning of the game and the seats will be EMPTY for the ABC VIEWERS to see. We'll have enough fashionably late folks showing up at & after halftime. Hopefully we have enough "fans" to show up and be there waiting on kickoff.

Can't fix culture.

Still didn't answer my question tho. Have you already booked your ticket?

I wonder what mentality it is you speak of cause even when it was in Birmingham I traveled and had a good time cause that's jus what folks wit my kinda mentality do even when JSU ain't in it. Can you say the same?

SMH.. Too many on here are worried about attendance while ESPN/ABC is worried about TV ratings. They both need to be great!

Okay well we will all stay our black asses at home so the folks at home will swear up & down that they're watching the Labor Day classic, AN EMPTY STADIUM! So much for encouraging people to support (attend) the game.

I know. People just finding something to complain about.

Who's complaining about the time slot? We're talking about black people being on time for the game. Actually being in the seat for kickoff vs filling the seats up for halftime due to being stuck in traffic because you left your hotel late. Because we know it's going to be a fashion show for the majority of the blacks attending. That's just HBCU gameday reality.

Some of you just sign on to complain about folks complaining lol just as sad. Are yall that desperate for a co-sign from the co-sign King?

It sure would be nice if somehow tickets could be sold along with MEAC/SWACseason ticket holders...or at least automatically add on $25 to each season ticket holder. If your team makes it $25 will be reduced from the your ticket price.

Imagine how much money would be made!!! Imagine if each school in the SWAC averaged 1000 season ticket holders...that's 10k people....times $25 that's $250,000 that's automatically coming from the SWAC.

Now 1,000 season tickets sold is low balling. I purchase 3 for GSU and I know one lady who purchases 7.

That's a great idea founder and something that most definitely need to be looked at in the future.

What relevance does the Labor Day Classic have to what we're talking about in here? You're obviously feeling a certain type of way... Your bad!

I will be in Atlanta to support the game no mater what teams are represented. I have already booked flight and hotel before prices jump.

Mark my words Southern vs Bethune Cookman in the first Celebration Bowl 2015!

The Alcorn Team last was relatively young as well along with SUs. Plus, we had a lot of key players get hurt in Training Camp Last Year. But proceed.....I would be more worried about the SWAC Team near Shreveport because I've they are "Desparate Hungry".

Remember SU had a lot of starters that couldn't play last season, due to certification issues.

Hard to repeat.

Yeah, we were real young. Losing only 1 wide out, 1 rb, 2 ol but get our starter back who didn't play but the few transfers we do have coming in. I'm more worried about our D. Not the players but our schemes. Coach Worm is stuck in his ways.

What is actually the deal with that? I know some were seniors and we actually missed the linebacker more than anyone else. I can only think of one that may actually be back and that is the ol who popped up on the All SWAC list.

True and Alcorn had a good bit of seniors on defense.
